Actually works, no hives!
I'm naturally olive/tan. I dont often write reviews, but this is something I wish I would have seen before buying. I have both the normal and dark. The photo with the blue bracket is my experiment with the dark, the red bracket normal. Both work! The dark shows up slightly better on my skin tone. I'm allergic to DHA, and I've spent hundreds on everything from coco & eve sets with "natural" dha, to gradual tanners, to st. Tropez. Theyre great too, except for the hives and split skin that comes with it. This stuff though, gives me a nice glow boost and not a single hive. Oh, and I smell like lemon cake.

Pretty good
The only tanning product I've found that I'm not allergic too and it's probably the longest lasting that I've tried as well. Only negatives are it can get patchy if you layer and aren't careful and it's a bit orange compared to some others. The smell is a million times better than any other brand I've tried as well, much more subtle, and fades faster than other scents. Overall I'd recommend though not at full price since it goes so fast. Wish they had a cooler more olive toned option to match my skin but I still prefer this over any other option I've tried and I've tried most.

Gave me a rash
Supposed to be hypoallergenic, but I still got a rash. Such a bummer.

Solid choice, but some things to note
I am allergic to DHA, and I was looking for something for my legs because they don’t tan at all and I want them to match the rest of my body! I have been using this for over a month and I wanted to share some honest info. Considering this is really the only DHA free product it’s pretty good, but some tips and things to note: 1. This lotion takes a while to build up. You can speed it up a bit by using it twice a day, but expect a solid 3 days before you get a significant change in skin tone 2. It does have a yellow undertone. I have a “neutral” skin tone so many tanners turn a bit yellow on my skin, this one a bit more so. The days leading up to build-up leave my skin looking a bit like a fading bruise, but that’s resolved by day 3 3. The gradual buildup means you are not able to fix mistakes easily. If you have a dry patch, or putting too much on your feet or knees you won’t know until it develops. For example I had a small dry patch on my foot that got pretty dark by day 3, but I was able To correct by putting a bit of lotion there before tanning. It started to resolve. 4. I used daily, tried twice a day and once a day. I find I can use this for about two weeks before I need to do a deep exfoliation and start over. The buildup starts to get patchy, and streaky. Not cute. Remember that this takes about 3 days before you look tan, so if you have an event plan accordingly 5. To remove I use an exfoliating mitt 6. You can lighten spots with a bit of rubbing alcohol 7. If you are using daily it goes quickly. Just using it on my legs (toe to thigh) I got about 4/5 weeks. If you are using on your whole body I would imagine you could easily go through 1.5-2 bottles a month. 8. If you put this in at night it WILL stain your sheets 9. The smell is citrusy and sweet. Did not bother me or my husband, but can see it could be unpleasant to some 10. This was not streaky at all. The gradual build up allows for soft transitions between feet, ankles, knees etc. in that sense it’s actually better than regular tanner that develops quickly. Overall this is worth it to me because the itch and hives from regular tanners is pretty unbearable. And my legs look SO different from the rest of My body during the summer I feel Like a need something But this product takes commitment, patience, and planning.

It definitely works!
I'm olive toned and think I look a little healthier with a bit of color, but I'm also skin care conscience about tanning/laying out, and found out years ago I'm allergic to DHA, so bronzer isn't even an option. Laying out is sortof a pain, since I cover face/neck where I use retinols, get tan lines, and get sweaty/tired. Years ago I found one truly organic bronzer product that actually worked without irritating my skin; however, it's pretty greasy, has a strong odor and glimmer to it, so couldn't be worn to bed, under light clothes, under makeup, etc. It's expensive and such a labor to use I found myself rarely even wanting to do it. I came across this product (which is probably about the cost of one spray tan) and decided to try it. And YES, it definitely works! I went pretty light on the first application but saw streaks on my feet days later where I didn't blend very well (and like the bottle says, nope, this doesn't just wash off). So the good news was, it was working lol, the downside, I had streaky feet for a few days and some blotches here and there. SMELL - it smells like a glazed donut. If you're really conscience about any possible smell, I'd recommend applying this 3-5 days before an event so you get your desired color and are minimizing the scent. If you're using this often, I would say on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being super obvious and stinky, this is a 2 or 3. If you are really sensitive to smells, it may be more for you. After my lotion and perfume, I find it hardly noticeable. APPLICATION - after the Streaky Feet incident, I used a MAC 810 brush to apply a line of product to each general area, and use circling motions to cover and blend. It's impossible to tell when you first apply this if it's even, so doing so with the short soft-haired brush helped eliminate much room for error or embarrassing blotches or streaks. I don't leave product reviews very often, but since this is such a niche market/product, thought it would be helpful to other people who can't/won't use DHA but still want to get a "healthy glow". I also think this is a small business, so hopefully this honest feedback helps as well. No product is 100% perfect in every way for everyone, but I for one have absolutely no skin irritation, can use this on my face and body with no reaction, thought the price is reasonable, and find the color to develop into a nice tanned brown. Try it out and get your glow on!
