Incredibly sharp from the get go. Seems well made & if taken care of, certain it will last my lifetime. Good weight and balance. Perfect blade length too. I bought it as I make my own biltong. I wanted a decent weighted, sharp knife to cut up the raw, fresh meat - but also to slice my biltong after it was ready. This knife absolutely does both jobs with ease and to perfection. Extremely glad I bought it & now I can stop stressing about ruining my really good kitchen knives. Having the right tools & good tools for the job is so much better.

Great for cutting meat joints into smaller steaks

As I cut my own steaks I was looking for a good knife to make my life easier. This cut through a 5kg piece of sirloin like butter. Even the blont part is sharp.

Bought this for cutting the Sunday roast. It is also excellent for Swiss rolls, vegetables, cakes etc. Good all rounder.
