Solid, easy to use, best spring compressor for the money.
Anyone with a Tundra or similar beefy springs installing Bilsteins THIS is the best tool for the money! WOW. I have used the cheap harbor freight style and was skeptical this was any better but it is AMAZING. Worth every penny. Made the install simple and works great. Solid, and i highly recommend it. I usually dont review anything i buy..but had to on this tool. It is that good. 2006 tundra dc now has bilstein 5100s thanks to this tool and a few hours work. Buy it.

Quality/Easy to use
These spring compressor was actually really easy to use and worked really well. Felt a lot safer than the ones autozone/oreilly’s carry. 😅

Absolutely perfect, strong and stable
This spring compressor worked perfectly. If you need to change out strut cartridges on a heavy spring coil over like a Tundra or F150, this thing makes it quick and easy. I just installed Bilstein 5100's in my Tundra, and I can hardly believe how simple and quick it was with these. SO much better than the garbage ones you can rent at the auto parts store. No bending, nothing looked sketchy at all. I like the bar between them that keeps both in place and reduces the chance of a slip. I was blown away how easy this was compared to the "regular" spring compressors. Even if you only use these ONCE, you got your money's worth versus going to a shop.

Great tool used on Escalade Springs
After not being able to find a shop that would change out these struts for me I ordered these. They worked perfectly and felt safe using them on large Escalade springs. Have used them a few times and have had no issues. They seem like they need lubrication on the threads after a few uses.

Worked great, easy and safe if you follow instructions
These are good spring compressors. Used them on 2008 Sonata struts to replace the shock absorbers. Read the instructions and watch their YouTube video if you want a tutorial. A little grease on the threads wouldn't hurt but I skipped that and they worked fine. These will save you money as you only usually need to replace the shock portion of a strut anyway and as a bonus you can also avoid garbage quick struts. The oem springs, bumpers and mounts, etc are usually better quality that what a quick strut would supply and you save some money in the process. If you need new mounts just buy good ones when you order the shocks and install them when you swap over. I'll use these many times Im sure.

Well worth it and well made tool
Worked well and safer than the ones you borrow from local auto parts. Take time to install and use the safety cross bar.

Great Design- wish I had this on past project
Compressor tool is great the clamps are not blocky like the ones you get from any auto parts store. Fits well into narrow spots and doesn't feel sketchy at all. I took off the safety tabs on one of the upper clamp so I could get a little more compression made a big difference for my mk7 GTI. It didn't need it but I put some grease on the inside screw and WD40 (chain grease) on the lock ring threads as well, to make it easier to compress and avoid any seizing. Learned that trick with the sketchy auto store compressor, the threads on the inside of the compressor are the perfect pitch for this job never felt like it was going to bind just a habit and wanted it to go smoothly. I used an impact and electric ratchet on the 19mm bolt and the socket (from walmart) did loose the battle and the socket got stripped. In my eyes I'd rather my socket get stripped then the bolt, this happened because I wasn't paying attention to the clamp being bottomed out. The only challenging part of using the tool was getting the lower clamp/jaw in the correct position/height in order to maximize the clamp amount, the lock ring is a little thick but its necessary to grip easier. Other than that this was the easiest and safest compress tool I used. Listen to all the other 4+ star reviews they are telling the truth.
