The CARENURSE Winter Boots I acquired were put to the test on the streets of New York City with frigid temperatures, intolerable rain and strong winds. Needless to say, the boots met my expectations. My husband has narrow feet and wears size 11 shoes. Finding well-fitted and reasonably priced shoes are almost impossible. Rockport was his usual go-to brand with several selections of shoes in 11N. Unfortunately, he never found winter boots in a narrow size that were attractive and fit comfortably. The Carenurse boots fit the bill perfectly. They are warm, feel comfy even after long walks, and are water resistent/repellent under normal wet conditions. The sole has a profile that grips well in winter conditions. The color is a warm brown and the lighter trim looks stylish and gives the boot a slimmer look. All in all a very functional shoe without the clunky look of some winter boots. Boots are an excellent choice for those with narrower than average feet in part of their lace-up instead of zipper closure. NOTE: Order half size up, especially with thicker socks. The size 11 were a bit tight around the toes. We exchanged it for a size 11.5. Now the boots fits perfectly.
