Really easy to follow and look really good on completion

A beautiful set which was purchased as a gift - the recipient LOVED it and the finished products (so far) are brilliant detail and quality. Some parts are a bit fiddly and difficult so definitely only for a more proficient crafter. Well worth the money.

I'm not a beginner but I like that the book has explanation to what the stitches are. There seems to be enough yarn for Jack and Sally. However, the yarn is 100% acrylic and feels on the cheap side. Hook is also a bit mediocre so I used my more expensive one. Yarn comes in a skein so make sure to wind it into a cake or ball before you begin your project or it'll tangle like crazy. I do recommend this box for a beginner but just keep in mind that Jack and Sally are slightly more complex so you might want to try Oogie Boogie first.

It’s a nice set, has everything in it to make some characters and need extra supplies to make them all which is not a problem for most yarn crafters. I would not say that it’s suitable for a beginner or a child as the parts you are making for the characters are quite small … Jacks legs are only 6dc around & then joined so his body is only 12dc around, and some characters require you crochet over wire, so I would say that it’s too fiddly for a child under 14 or a beginner, and a child over 14 would need some help, looking at the patterns they appear well written and have very clear instructions if your more of an advanced crocheter and have experience in making amigurumi. It is worth to note that the pattern is written in U.S crochet terms so in the U.K you will need to convert to U.K crochet terms, So the U.S term of single crochet is actually a U.k double crochet. Definitely not a beginner kit or suitable for children but certainly one an advanced crocheter would enjoy. I have brought not as a gift, but to gift the completed characters.
