I use this BT anemometer to provide me with wind speed for long-distance target shooting. I purchased this type of anemometer because I wanted a unit that would display wind velocity regardless of orientation or wind direction. The unit only provides the following data: (1) current wind speed, (2) average wind speed, and (3) maximum wind speed. It does not provide temperature, barometric pressure, relative humidity, or other weather conditions. However, I only need it for wind speed and get the other environmental data from my phone. I mounted it on a tripod along with my wind indicator so that I have continuous updates regarding wind speed and direction (see photo and video). So far, it appears to work as advertised. I will try to update this review after I have some long-term experience to properly evaluate it for durability and battery life. It uses a 2032 watch-type battery. The reason I gave it four stars instead of five was that I ordered a solid black unit and received one that is black and orange, but that's not a big deal for me so long it functions correctly. So far, it appears to be a good unit for its price point.

Nice looking product for the price. Biggest dislike is the screen is unreadable outdoors.

Ich nutze den Windmesser zur Windmessung für den Kitesport. Im Abgleich mit anderen Geräten ist der Windmesser ausreichend genau für diese Anwendung. Gut, dass man zwischen Knoten, m/s, Beaufort usw. umschalten kann. Der Kompass oben ist eher Spielkram und ist verzichtbar.
