Great device, and NOW useful app!
I have the 400S. The air purifier itself is great. Moves lots and lots of air on high. It's really quiet on low. Modern styling is awesome. The app is the opposite. It only halfway works. It appears like it will be an informative app for air quality and all that jazz. Well, you'll be sorely disappointed if you use android. Nothing works except some rudimentary controls. Maybe they will fix the app and all will be rainbows and unicorns. *update* The IOcare app has been updated several times since I posted my review. It works great. I think it's also worth mentioning that the S model features are only usable in the app. For instance you can't set a timer on the S model without the app. Not that this is a big deal to me, but I figured that some simple functions could still be set on the purifier itself without using the app...but that is not the case.

Satisfied
Not sure yet if rating is accurate, but first 24 hours going well. Purchased Tuesday and received Wednesday. Simple Setup with no assembly required. No noticeable sound on lower settings, and no smell some complained about. A little disappointed it is detecting no pollution, but when first turned on it did for about 5 minutes, and the air quality does seem improved over last 3 weeks since starting to run A/C constantly. I have to wonder about people complaining about a smell, especially burning plastic, if they stopped to read the flap on the box that says to remove the bags around the filters before operating.

This product has multiple SMART Mode functions
This is the best household air filter I could ever imagine! It was easy to set up to Wi-Fi! I like that I can control the functions remotely from my iPhone. The user manual is very friendly to use. Maintenance is easy. Customer service is a phone call away! This is a well made product. The covers are easily removable to access the filters. There are indicator lights on the top that show the pre filter and the Max2 filter. These indicator lights let you know when maintenance is required. The cost may seem prohibitive — at first glance — but it’s worth the cost! Amazon allowed me to “pay it out” in a payment arrangement which suited me. The amount of dust the pre-filter captures is eye opening! I simply vacuum off the dust and replace the filter, the cover and hold the PreWash button to reset the filter indicator. The Max2 filter is supposed to last 12 months. The AIRMEGA is surprisingly quiet! I recommend this product to anyone that wants a whole house air filter that will exceed expectations.

Hands down the worst smart devices I’ve ever used in my life
First of all, the device itself won’t stay connected to the WiFi. I had to run WiFi setup like once a month if not every couple days. It’s not like it had poor reception or anything, it’s like it would just erase the WiFi link randomly. You’ll just realize it doesn’t do something you had an Alexa routine set to do and it’s like ‘how long has that not been working? Guess I’ll have to add it back to Alexa again’ The biggest problem is that the app is a TRAVESTY. An ACTUAL NIGHTMARE. I can’t even begin to go over all the problems I’ve had with it over 3 years. Constant, random problems when they aren’t completely breaking it every couple of months. Recently they made us transfer to Coway accounts like a year ago and that still doesn’t work, I just made a whole new account. Which was fine for a couple months until now, you can’t even get in the app. It makes you sign in and then immediately signs you out in a loop. Even if you get everything set up and it seems to be working TRUST ME you’ll eventually see it break at some point. They’re going to respond to this review and ask me to contact them about the problems so they can ‘fix them’, but I’ve already done that about a half dozen times, they NEVER fix anything. Hypothetically let’s just say you can actually use the app and there’s no problems- it’s a terrible app regardless. Just so awful and cheap looking. Instead of app updates they make you launch it and then sit there downloading ‘service updates’ which is just a blatant waste of your time. Who does it like that? The purifier itself is good quality but literally everything about the ‘smart’ aspect of it is nothing but a raging migraine all the time. Just absolutely, unbelievably bad. You think, well, it can’t be that bad? YES. WORSE. So bad I literally just bought a whole new air purifier ecosystem so I can finally delete it. I paid money to get rid of it!

They actually work and solid construction
I have tried the Honeywell HPA5300b which cleaned the air really well short term but were poor quality with lots of noise issues, and the Levoit 600s which had every feature you could want but didn’t clean the air (I had two for 1100 sqft space, the air quality from outside air was a score of 0-99 with 99 being highest at 83 (independent testing tool on other side of room). After 8 hours on turbo air quality dropped to 80. The Coway Airmegas his 95-98 overnight and the honeywells hit 97-99. So in terms of features, quality of design construction and air quality, the AirMegas are the winner.

After an enormous amount of research, decided on this unit for a large open space ~1000’sq. Looks good, and feels of high build quality. This purifier moves a lot of air on its Max setting, and you can feel the air movement from several feet away. It blows upward, so not a breeze like from a fan, but a gentle air movement circles the room. It’s also very quiet. In low you cannot hear anything, even standing beside the purifier. Medium adds a little white noise to the room. High is noticeable, but not a nuisance. Pros: “Smart” air purifier boasting a high CADR, attractive unit, solid build quality, decent price, and dual 12-month HEPA filters make this a smart investment. Dual handles make this easily manoeuvrable. Cons: Filter availability. The App: The app is decent, not great. It’s basically a remote control (on/off, fan speed) with a custom schedule builder if you don’t want the Auto mode enabled. Offers filter life indicators/notifications as well as indicators/notifications when to wash the pre-filter filters. Air Quality Index (AQI) is not available in North America. If the 400S (“S” = Smart) is a few bucks more than the 400 (standard) then go for it… but consider how much more you are willing to spend for the ability to control fan speed and receive notifications on your phone. Filters are not easy to find, perhaps due to the popularity of HEPA in the age of COVID, …but like face masks, hand sanitizer, and toilet paper… I’d expect that to normalize soon. All said, we’re happy. Would not hesitate to purchase again.

Very good quality, Just leave it on smart mode and u can enjoy purified air. One thing is sensor is too sensitive, when u spray air fresher or diffuse essential oil, it cannot tell, immediately recognizes the room air quality is unhealthy and fans speed up. Fan level 1 and 2 is very quite, level 3 is a bit loud but at acceptable. overall good purchase!

I bought this filter in 2021 and it is always on since then. I am monitoring my air quality with a separate tool and I can see a huge change with this filter on 27/7. I also like the remote control option, it works with Home Assistant. My only comment to manufacturer: PLEASE stop forcing people to use cloud services. It would be great to have an option to set it up locally with Home Assistant, without using cloud services.

The reason I bought the air purifier is because the got a pet and read it would help with pet dander and dust. I see zero difference. The light turns red when the filter needs to be cleaned, but there’s barely any particles at all. I’m dusting/cleaning as often as I was prior to getting the purifier. Don’t waste your money.
