Fun Express 8" Flaming Torch Plastic Light with Flickering Flame, Great Scene Setter Accessorie for Tiki, Halloween, Roman and Other Party Themes

These made a perfect addition to the CastleVania room in my house.

First of all, the delivery of this product was great. No problems with the company itself. However, the project was much less than expected. That being said, I already had low expectations from the other reviews, but it turned out worse. :( A list of problems I encountered: - The On-Off switch is built into the base just above where the batteries are placed. In my case the gold paint or maybe it was just the plastic had combined together and locked the device. It wasn't until I cracked the plastic ring below the switch that it would actually turn on and off. - The fan was said to be loud, but loud enough to be a mini vacuum cleaner? There is no way a room full of these would create the mood I was hoping for. - I had to tinker with the copper connectors that connect the light with the rest of the housing as it would not turn on. I still had problems keeping the light on if the torch was barely touched. - What is the point of the cloth flame and fan if it doesn't work. I would expect a fan that loud would at least move the plastic/cloth like material at the top to look like a flame, but the fan did little more than blow air across it. The material is way too stiff. - Size, even though I can live with the overall size of 10", these things should at least be 12" not including cloth flame at the end. It was not worth the price I paid, must less the price paid for shipment. These look more like cheap party favors, than what you'd expect them to be. Of course the products were made in China, but even in China I've seen better quality and things actual work. Great concept of a gadget, but...poor, poor, implementation. My advice is to pull these things off the market, improve on what you have, and try again.

Ordered two. One worked fine the other never turned on. Seems like a gamble if they will work or not. I was luckily just using mine for Halloween so it was not a huge deal.

I ordered this product to use on stage in a production of Beauty and the Beast. When it arrived, it was about 1/3 the size I was expecting. (I had bought a very similar product several years ago and thought I knew what to expect.) The flame and fan are very realistic from a distance, but the unit is completely dwarfed on stage. It also has no on-off switch, you have to twist the handle to engage or disengage the batteries to turn it on or off. The basket for the torch also twists off (not sure why) so the unit frequently falls apart when trying to use it. Good concept, but less than satisfactory result.

They are very cheap, one broke just taking it out of its box. Another one broke trying to put batteries into it. One never worked at all The other two drained the batteries and fell off the Velcro strips they are to be attached to. Little electrodes connected-loosely, to the plastic, twisted and broke every time you tried to open it to put in or change the batteries. To very frustrating and cheep to deal with.

This is a cute, realistic looking torch. the on/off mechanism is a little weird, you have to unscrew the handle like a old fashioned flash light to turn it off but it's VERY easy to unscrew the 'torch' part instead which can damage the mechanism. The velcro that comes with it is not very strong and cannot bear the weight of this tiny torch but all in all my only complaint is I wish it came with batteries!

Perfect and works well! I love the fake flame! Looks decent up close, but really works perfectly for stage!
