This is a great book for the price. It has 1059 pages and not 1088 like stated in the book information. This book should be used for every new electrical, industrial or mechatronics student. Not only that, but the book can actually be used when you are on the job. It is packed full of information the is useful and real world. The mathematics that are used is computer and electrical mathematics. You will not find yourself having to do pure mathematics. Chapter 1 covers Systems, Quantities, and Units, Chapter 2 covers Voltage, Current, and Resistance, Chapter 3 covers Ohm's Law, Energy and Power, Chapter 4 covers Series Circuits, Chapter 5 covers Parallel Circuits, Chapter 6 covers Series and Parallel Circuits, Chapter 7 covers Magnetism and Electromagnetism, Chapter 8 covers Alternating Current and Voltage, Chapter 9 covers Capacitors, Chapter 10 covers RC Circuits, Chapter 11 covers Inductors, Chapter 12 covers RL Circuits, Chapter 13 covers RLC Circuits and Resonance, Chapter 14 covers Transformers, Chapter 15 covers Time Responds of Reactive Circuits, Chapter 16 covers Diodes, Chapter 17 covers Transistors, Chapter 18 covers Amplifiers, Chapter 19 covers Basic OP-AMP Circuits, Chapter 20 covers Special Purpose OP Amp Circuits, Chapter 21 covers Measurement, Conversation and Control. Now I can not remember the last time that I had a textbook that was brand new, that I used in three classes and can still use for my Mechatronics on the job - that is under 300 dollars. For example, my Calculus book cost me 300 dollars and I basically have no common use for it. This book is also full of goodies in all the chapter sections. There are many mathematical examples and formulas with the steps and solutions given, section check up with the answers in the book, charts and graphs, system notes, trouble shooting examples, summaries, quizzes with the answers in the book, key terms and self tests also with the answers in the book.To tell you the truth, the book seems underpriced. I have completed all three classes with As and yet we could not cover all the material in it. I still use the book for fun. That is just how much meat you have here.To the authors and engineers of this book, thank you.In my world, this would be the standard for college textbooks. I remember that I took a computer science class where the textbook cost me 250 dollars. It was not a big book, it was not a hardcover, and it lacked color in many places where color would have been very useful,. Although many things change, these electrical "fundamentals" are here to stay. This book is a steal. But it must be studied. Many people seem to write reviews on these series of textbooks but they seemingly have not read, nor studied their textbooks. Engineering, like mathematics is not a lecture course only. The principles, mathematics and the material must be studied and read and reread. In reference to the sorry reviews are measuring device for those students in many of the reviews, then I don't see much success in their path to engineering.

I get the book a high rating, cause I found it easy to read and understand the combination between theory and practical examples makes this book to one of my favorite books highly recommendable.
