Works wonders
Helped my daughter feel more confident in the pool. Great for putting her in a good position to learn how to swim! Awesome that you can adjust for more or less floatability as comfort levels change. Easy to transport and pot on and off! Overall great product and quality!

Perfect for granddaughter.
Update: While on vacation this weekend with our grandchildren, the clip broke on the swim trainer. We were able to use a rubber band and have her step in and out of the trainer and it functioned while swimming, but not the same. Granddaughter had to hold it up every time she got out of the pool like a hoola-hoop or it slipped down to her hips. We ordered a new one because honestly she loves it and swims so well with it. But such a disappointment to have it break in the middle of vacation. This little thing out performed my expectations. We had been using a life vest and sometimes a puddle jumper for our wildly independent 2 year old granddaughter when she came over to swim. However, it was impossible to teach her to swim with a vest or puddle jumper on because neither allowed her to really level out to kick her feet and use her arm. She was constantly trying to take off the vest and puddle jumper. We swam with her without anything but she just jumps in thinking she can swim. While of course no floating device is a substitute for adult supervision ever and we never use one for that purpose, this swim trainer works as intended for her. She’s able to level herself out, kick her feet, and move her arms to swim around the pool. She’s so cute when she jumps in the pool and then puts her face in the water and takes off with her fierce determination to swim like her brothers. She loves being able to show off her swimming and is no longer trying to squiggle out of our arms to “swim” when she doesn’t quite know how. She also loves to keep this trainer on and has not yet decided to get it off. She calls it’s her “swim backpack.” While we don’t truly trust any device to stay on her and to keep her safe without an adult staring at her, this has definitely helped her be able to learn how to swim more while also helped us teach her without her constantly thinking she already knows how. Definitely helps this Gigi be able to get up the steps without worrying that she’s jumped back in without any flotation help. Again, it’s not a life vest and we must be watch 100 percent of the time because we trust nothing but adult eyes staring at the grandkids in the pool but this sure does help her slow down and swim. I’m a Florida born and raised, so our family is super aware of the danger of drownings. I hesitated to write this review as I don’t want to give an impression that it is something that will allow anyone to take their eyes off their child while in the water. So just going overboard in making that clear! We love it and our granddaughter loves it as an aide to help her learn to swim independently.

So effective
These look so deceiving, however they are amazing when teaching kids to swim properly and they don’t sink!!

Encourages Natural Swimming Movement in Toddlers
This swim float belt has been amazing for helping my two-year-old build real confidence and swimming skills. Unlike traditional life jackets or splash jammers, this belt allows for proper body positioning in the water, which made a huge difference for us. Because the flotation is on the back, my daughter was able to stay horizontal and actually use her arms and legs to swim, rather than being forced upright like she is with most flotation devices. I could visibly see her learning how to move through the water more naturally, instead of just floating. What I loved most is that it helped her gradually gain independence in the pool while still feeling supported. Over time, she became more confident, more relaxed, and more willing to try swimming on her own. It felt like a true learning tool rather than just a safety device. Highly recommend for parents who want their child to develop proper swimming mechanics and confidence, not just float. The only negative I have is that the strap sometimes slides down her belly and I have to adjust it often. It would be great if there were some shoulder straps.

It WILL keep your child afloat and help you feel safe watching your child swim
This product is amazing!!!!!! Owning a swimming pool we are always looking for the safest items for our children. We transitioned my daughter out of her puddle jumper and into this float that goes on the back. This has allowed her to have better arm control and more overall control of her body in the pool. It is very easy to clip on and has an extra layer of safety on the buckle. It comes with 4 pieces of foam that can be removed as your child becomes a stronger swimmer. We gifted my daughter this for her 5th birthday which was just over a month ago. Within the month she has learned to go off the diving board, use her arms for swimming and it has boosted her overall comfort level in the pool. We have used the back floatie at the lake, the pool and the water park. I love that she has full control of her arms at all times. Which means she NEVER has to take the float off around the pool. She can eat and drink without having to take the float off, which is super convenient and always gives me piece of mind. It is easy to carry and fits nicely in a bag or clips on to the strap of any bag. I have shared this link with many friends who have children. I would highly recommend this to any parent looking to take their child's swimming to the next level without causing yourself stress and anxiety around water.

More For Back Floating
Purchased for my three year-old granddaughter to assist with floating and swimming. However, she kept flipping on her back. It did keep her afloat , however, rather than practicing and learning how to swim face down, it turned out to be more so for learning how to flow on her back.

It’s useful to some extent, but honestly, it doesn’t make a big difference. For kids who don’t know how to swim and can’t relax their body in the water, this back belt doesn’t really help much. And for kids who can already relax, they basically can swim already so this doesn’t add much value. It’s more of a psychological comfort item than a real training tool.
