Great fruit picker
Finally!! A sturdy, well built fruit picker. This thing is great and easy to use. The telescoping pole makes it easy to reach the high fruit at the top of the tree.

Worth the price!
Have you ever tried to pick a small densely loaded dwarf apple tree? My dad had an old picker, but it was old with a wooden handle and the tines were breaking off. Often, it would damage the fruit trying to pull them down. I came across this picker and thought I would give it a try. I am so glad I did! This picker is sturdy and lightweight. It has two telescoping extensions that lock into place. You can custom adjust the height. Fully extended, balance is the key, but even fully extended, it works beautifully. This is the first year that I have been able to reach those apples on the tiniest of limbs at the very top of the tree. And the best part is, I didn’t have to use a ladder at all! The picker allowed me to pick in tight areas where the wasps had discovered the fruit and made quick work without getting stung. One note and recommendation for users, when you fully extend this picker, quickly upright it setting the base on the ground. Having it balanced then, you can move it with ease. After you pick your fruit, turn the pole to where the tines are facing up on the basket. Then when you lower it, your fruit doesn’t go flying out. Would I buy this again? You bet! Very well made and great product.

Works great - pick fruit from the highest branches!
This fruit picker came in two pieces and was easy to assemble, just screwing the basket to the pole. The pole extended easily and locked into position. Allowing me, a short person, to harvest fruit from the higher branches of my semi-dwarf apple trees. The removable, foam liner was a nice extra, preventing any bruising of the apples. I was even able to harvest 2-3 smaller apples at a time into the wire basket before bringing it back down to retrieve them.

Prongs could be stronger.
Not that durable. I thought paying more would give me a much better product than I've gotten in the past. It works better, but I borrowed a friend's and that one was super tough. This one is okay, but I need to adjust the prongs often since they bend upin pulling pomergranites off branches. I do like the clamps on the adjustable pole.

Very nice tool for apple and pear season
I bought this so nobody had to climb ladders in order to pick from my family’s apple and pear trees. The quality of this tool exceeded my expectations. It is sturdy, even when fully extended, and lightweight enough that my 6-year-old was able to learn to use it with little to no assistance. Adjustments are made smoothly and easily. The clamps for adjusting are similar to that of a bicycle seat post, but easier to open and close. We were able to pick apples and pears from the tops of our treees just standing on the ground. Roughly 5-6 pieces of fruit can fit inside the basket before you have to worry about them spilling out, and that is with the foam pad insert in the basket. The pad is probably an inch thick and sort of bends into a bowl shape at the bottom of the basket. You could probably remove the pad and fit another piece or two, hut the initial pieces may bounce around and be damaged. We did not try picking without the pad. Assembly is easy, sinply align the threads on the basket with the threads on the end of the pole and twist until tight. Then lay the foam pad in the basket and you’re ready to go.

Fruit Picking Madness!
Well built and good quality. Using it to pick pears and apples. It does take some getting used to but once you get the hang of it, the fun begins! The ABSOLUTE advantage and what makes this worth every penny is that you can screw it on to a standard painters extension pole. You can use varying lengths as needed and unscrew it when not in use or you need the pole for something else. It held on pretty tight and I didn't have to tighten it at all. I can get about 3-4 good size apples and about 2-3 pears in a go. We opted to buy a telescoping painters pole from Home Depot instead of the one that is offered with it. Paid only $40 to upgrade! If you pick a lot of fruit, this is a handy item to have around.

Great Fruit Picker!
I used my fruit picker for the first time yesterday. It is very sturdy and worked perfectly. I would highly recommend this product. I attached it to my telescoping pole and easily reached a lime high in my tree. I would not have been able to get to the fruit without it. I am looking forward to harvesting my apples, avacados, limes, apricots, pears and oranges that I couldn't reach before.

Wished I had bought this earlier. Made picking peaches so much easier.
We have a peach tree that has grown so big and this year produced zillions of peaches......okay well a lot. They are well outside our reach but we wanted to be able to harvest them. This tool was just the answer. The length of it was perfect for either on the ground or on a ladder. Any longer and I think it you would loose control of the tool. It was very easy to use by reaching it up under over the fruit, getting the "claw" part over the peach and pulling down. It held many peaches before I had to bring it back down to empty it out. Our peaches are small. It really did not take long to learn to use nor to pick peaches. I will say that you have to keep tightening the basket on top back up as you use it. This is only because as you pick fruit and spin the unit while pulling on the fruit, it does loosen. Never did I have it loosen and fall off. It just got harder to pick the fruit with the basket turning.
