Great phones with a few shortcomings
These are a really great sounding set of phones for the money. When properly fit, the sound reproduction is full and crisp. They have dynamics and detail on par with some hi-end studio over-the-ears I have used, (Beyer Dynamics, Sony, Ultrasone) when listening to hi quality digital audio, (vorbis, flac, mp3). I detect a little bit of rise in the mids, but it is not peaky. This will bring the snare more forward on typical pop tunes. The bass is full an rich, but it definitely is not hyped. The upper highs, (the air range), is rather subdued. You have very good response to maybe 12k. This is certainly reasonable for casual listening. Those who have ears sensitive enough to hear the missing floating cymbals thing may be disappointed. In that case you really need an top set of over-the-ears. There are a couple of minor negatives. First, the handling noise is pretty bad. I don't really notice when playing music. I really hear it when talking on the phone. The other issue is getting a tight fit to my ear. As with any in-ears, the bass response is directly proportional to your ability to get a tight fit to your ear. The package comes with several sizes of sleeves. I started large and continued to go smaller until I found something that I could wear for few hours comfortably and still get a good seal. I went smaller than usual. The biggest fit issue comes from the flat cable. I find that it interferes with a tight fit unless they are almost parallel to the ground. This is true of round cable too. However, the flat cable is less flexible near the ear-buds, so it does not lie as nicely on the ear. I think this is a minor issue. It will not interfere with your ability to enjoy the phones. Just be aware that you will have to work a little harder to find that 'Ahhhh!!' place. The software is pretty good. I do find that I have to press the button for just the right amount of time to get it to do what I want. I am still getting used to that. The packaging is really slick, but kind of silly. This is one of those cases where form won over function. They just need to make that tab you have to press a to open the case a little larger and more accessible. So why did I give this product 5 stars? Because for the price, this is an awesome sounding set of phones. Also, this is the only set of phones that work seamlessly with Samsung S3 AFAIK. So it hit a home run in the most important functional areas for me. One last comment: I bought the white one because I use these in an office. I need to make sure my colleagues can clearly see that I have them in when they stop by to talk to me. One officemate said it looks I am wearing some kind of stethoscope!!

Amazing Bass!
I've been antsy all day waiting for these to arrive, and after checking UPS 20th time today they finally arrived! The box gave me some trouble to open, although it is a simple mechanism the opening is small so I recommend using scissors or a pen to push the little square tab in. It's really shocking to see just how small these are but they still pack a punch! As soon as I plugged the One+ into my Android and opened Poweramp it was immediately obvious why these are called the bassiest of the a-Jay series. If you mostly listen to Rap and Dubstep like me I'm sure you'll love these. Even if you're not really into extreme bass you'll find that the One+ is well balanced and should work well in any genre. Pros: L-shaped plug (I've lost several earphones this year because the wire wore out while in my pocket). Flat cable (Tangle proof) Great bass Microphone sounds clear and is easy to use, you won't even notice that it's there while you're talking. App is easy to find and use but has some problems(See Cons) Cons: The flat cable does have slight microphonics as some others have pointed out but that's a small price to pay for tangle free earphones and it isn't really that noticeable. The button on the earphone isn't as responsive as I had hoped. Whether it be a fault of the app or the device itself I'm not sure. This review may be updated after I've had time to burn-in but I doubt these could get any better. [UPDATE] The button works fine, all the functions work easily except when you "double press" to skip track you need to be more forceful when pressing or it will just pause the audio[/UPDATE]

A good set of headphones for the money, but there are some issues...
Now, I'm just an average college student using this for phone calls and listening to music on the way to class and around my dorm. This is my first pair of anywhere near high end earbuds, so you can take my opinions with a grain of salt, but I'll do my best to describe my praises and complaints for these headphones that I have developed over the last few months -Sound The sound of the One+ is amazing. Loads better than my Skullcandy Ink'd earbuds or my Apple headphones, but I already knew that would be the case. Now, I personally prefer over ear headphones and I don't think these are anywhere near the quality of my ATH-M50s, but for a portable, in ear solution, these are great. These provide plenty of bass response and are extremely isolating. I don't even have to turn up the volume that much in order to tune out everything around me. The mix on these seem to be fairly well balanced, but they are a little on the bassier end in my opinion. Also, the separation when listening to stereo tracks is a little less pronounced than on my ATH-M50s, but that's a small complaint. Now, occasionally the sound will go out if the cord is wiggled the wrong way, but I have always been able to fix this by wiggling the jack or rotating it to a different position so the l end of the cable isn't being pulled on. Not a huge deal, but it is a minor annoyance, and has done this since day one. -Fit Initially the fit of these in my ears was a little large like most in ear headphones default buds, but it wasn't a problem as they come with a ton of different sized buds (5 pairs to be exact). So I just swapped them out which gave me a bit of a problem at first, but it wasn't too difficult. Now, they do go in my ears at a slightly odd angle which can look a bit odd, but this has no effect on sound quality, and I think that it might just be a problem with my ears or be a side effect of the flat cable. -Cable The cable for this is a flat, spaghetti style cable, and it does a really good job keeping it from getting tangled in your pockets. Well that's all I really wanted to say about that! -Looks These are black earbuds. There really isn't that much to say considering how minimalist they are. Personally, I really like the look of them and the flat cable looks sweet. I also really like that the left and right ears are clearly labeled on the inside of the cable, making it easy to see in the light. But, if there isn't that much light around, and for some reason you can't see the labels, there is a tiny bump on the right headphone in addition to the microphone being on the right side. -Microphone The microphone on this seems to be fairly weak when used for calls. It picks up a lot of background noise and tends to make wind it's number one priority when in any kind of outdoors situation. I often find myself protecting the microphone from the wind and bringing it closer to my mouth when talking at any sort of lower volume, because people often say that they have difficulties hearing me. -The Button As you probably know, the One+ only has one button. Now, this works great for answering/ending calls, playing and pausing the music, and even skipping tracks with a double press, but it is extremely difficult to get it to go back a song, no matter how much you mess with the app and the delay time in between the presses. Oh, and speaking of the app: The "Jays Headset Control" app is by far the most aggravating thing I have ever dealt with. The only time it seems to work perfectly is when I have it set to off. When on the easy mode, the app redirects the controls of the button to the stock music app, instead of the application that is currently playing your music. But while in advanced mode, the lock screen album art and the controls for play, pause, skip, and back disappear completely on the Lg G3, making the app literally useless. Also, on the Lg G3, the volume can't be adjusted, because the voice control app opens whenever you hold the button down. I can't speak for any other phones, but the app simply does not work on the G3. In conclusion, I would recommend these headphones if only for the sound quality, but the app and the volume controls simply do not work on my phone. The microphone is slightly weak, but it still works in most indoor situations. Overall, the One+ preforms extremely well as a pair of headphones, but they are lacking when it comes to their functionality as a headset.

From opening the fancy packaging through to playing my music the entire experience with these is superb. They sound leaps and bound ahead of the Seinheisser CX300s that cost the same and play nothing but treble. Cables are knot free too. My only minor gripe would be that the cables do generate rubbing noise if playing at low volume and resting on a desk or similar when listening and moving about. Same with all thick cables though. Buy 'em. You won't regret it.
