I used Furniture Clinic Danish Oil as the finishing coat on engraved wood coasters and door hangers, and it worked beautifully. The oil goes on smoothly, soaks into the grain, and leaves a warm, natural finish that really brings out the engraving detail. It gives the wood richer color without being overly glossy, which I prefer for engraved pieces. Application is straightforward—wipe on, let it absorb, and wipe off the excess. Once dry, it provides a durable layer of protection against moisture and everyday wear. On coasters especially, it helps resist water rings while keeping the engraved design sharp. Pros: Enhances natural wood grain and engraving detail Easy to apply with a simple wipe-on process Provides protection from moisture and wear Works well for both decorative and functional pieces Cons: Requires multiple coats for the best finish Slight odor during application (fades once cured) Overall, this is a reliable oil finish that balances looks and durability.
