Donner 30-Inch Kids Electric Guitar Kit – Sunburst (DTJ-100S)
I recently picked this mini TL-style electric guitar for my 7 y.o. granddaughter , and it's been a real delight. Right out of the box, the kit was ready to rock with amp, tuner, strap, picks, cable, extra strings, and a handy 600D gig bag. No scrambling for extras—everything's included. Good quality and sound: Despite its compact size, the guitar sounds surprisingly full-bodied. The humbucker pickup delivers solid tone, whether playing mellow folk or harder-edged riffs. It doesn't feel toy-like—just a well-built mini guitar that’s fun to jam on. The design is thoughtful, too—the lightweight (around 6 lbs) and ergonomic body means it’s easy to hold for small hands, and the matte finish reduces friction for more comfortable play. Bottom line: This Donner kit is a reliable, well-equipped choice for beginner kids. The sound and build quality punch well above its size, and having everything included means practice can start immediately. A great pick for young players ready to dive into music with style.

this was better quality than I expected the amp actually sounds pretty good too, its sized just right for a 7 year old but I had fun playing with it too, before I had to wrap it up for my sons Christmas present, he loves it and is excited for me to teach him how to play (

Wonderful value for the price!
I'm not really picky about guitars that are a bargain and this one certainly is a great bargain. Just think of how many hundreds or thousands of people were needed to make a guitar like this. The wood, rosewood, basswood and maple had to be harvested, cut and shaped. The metal parts like the bridge, the tuners, the pickups and wiring had to be mined from the earth, refined and processed. The paint had to be made from resins, colored to the right color and shade. Then the painted parts had to be polished by hand to a high gloss finish. The parts were then assembled with skill to make a guitar of really good quality. The tuners have to be tightened and the fret ends have to be filed a bit because they have somewhat sharp edges. Check on Youtube to see how easily this is corrected. The intonation was almost perfect and the action was set to a medium height. I am not really sure why buyers expect a perfect guitar when even the ones costing hundreds have issues. The completed guitar come from thousands of miles away and are subjected to heat, cold, dry air and humidity in shipping - but most make it into your home okay. Don't even ask about what kind of strings are on it because they are pretty good and a new set only costs about six bucks for a good set. It does have a Stratocaster tone so the pickups are really pretty decent. I just tried it clean with no overdrive so far, but I think this guitar is a real bargain for the price. Don't be wuss! Learn how to setup and care for your own guitar. It's very simple and fun - just be careful, make sure you have learned what you need to know and use a lot of TLC in handling it. If you do, then a guitar like this will last you a lifetime plus. Not sure what this "beginner guitar" stuff means, but it is a ridiculous term - the guitar does what it is supposed to do regardless if is played by a newbie or a pro. It basically all depends on your skill, pedals and amplifier. If they all suck, then you will too -it's not the guitars fault! Thank you Donner! Nice product! Note: I just wanted to affirm that there are only three spring holes in the tremolo block, but the spring claw has five hooks. I also noticed that there are pre-drilled dimples where the other two springs would mount. So if you have a drill press, you could drill the holes with the proper size drill. Not sure why Donner would do that? Maybe to save on production costs or perhaps limiting the pressure on the body wood to a workable string gage to10's and below to keep the basswood body from breaking out? It's okay as "is" but one wants to take a chance, you can always replace the bridge with a vintage 5 spring Fender bridge.

Sweet little jammer
Neat little guitar. Got this for my niece to learn to play. A good hour or two setup and this thing is pretty fun. It’s amazing what companies are able to put out for so little money. PROs: - Looks and feels like a (very lightweight) guitar - Level frets - Straight neck - Decent sounding single coil pickup - Paint and wood finish well done on a budget - Extra strings, picks, strap, and tuner are nice touch CONs: - Frets are extra scratchy and require polish - Cannot intonate the bridge because of how the strings exit the bottom and not through the guitar - Tuning pegs require patience as they are tough to turn and easy to “overtune” in either direction - The amp is hot trash- please buy a mini headphone amp like the Fender Mustang Micro (not an ad but please sponsor me) to save your sanity - For a couple dollars more they could include a tiny stand, but that’s not a real complaint

Super fun guitar for kids
This guitar looks amazing. I bought this my my grand daughter and she loved it. It seems durable and includes a lot of things that would have needed to be purchased separately. It is great for beginners and a good value for the money.

Not a guitar of use for much of anything. I would not recommend this for anyone!
Not sure what guitar others bought that they thought were so good! The guitar I received had (has) several issues. First it is totally unusable in standard tuning (intonation is off and it does not stay in tune). The neck has no truss rod or reinforcement so intonation at normal pitch is impossible! Tuning up to G (1 1/2 steps) helps a lot with the intonation but it still rends to go out of tune easily (I am pretty sure it is the fact the neck flexes a lot). The fret ends are terribly ruff ( I would not want a child using this as is). I filed the ends properly. The bridge has holes for a "string-thru" setup but it is not (I did drill holes to so I could do this with my new set of strings) a "string-thru" guitar! The accessories are a joke! The amp hums like crazy. I have been playing guitar for over 60 years and this has to be the worst guitar I have ever had my hands on. If major issues in my life had not detracted me from checking this guitar out properly when it arrived I would have returned it. As it is I upgraded the tuners (had some from a guitar project), put a gold foil pickup in it (I had from another project) and decorated the pickgaurd. It looks cool. and sounds a lot smoother. This is not something I would give someone wanting to learn to play guitar! Find a real guitar for them!

Great for a first guitar for small hands. Didn't expect all the extras but it really was a bargain for Christmas. Highly recommend.
