Chemical Guys HydroShield is an outstanding product and has become a key part of my detailing routine. I use it in conjunction with Chemical Guys VRP, and together they keep all of my Bronco’s black plastics looking deep, rich, and brand new. Living in the Hawaiian sun is tough on exterior trim, but HydroShield holds up incredibly well. It provides a durable, protective layer that resists fading, chalking, and that dull gray look UV exposure usually causes. Even after long days in harsh sunlight, the plastics stay dark and clean with a smooth, refreshed finish. Application is easy, the results are immediate, and the longevity is impressive. If you want reliable, long-lasting protection for your vehicle’s plastic and rubber surfaces, especially in brutal sun conditions. HydroShield is absolutely worth every penny. I have tried scores of products over the years for dressing black plastic auto trim and tires and was always disappointed with results. This product is outstanding in terms of ease of application, appearance and durability. Makes various black or dark plastic auto trim look like new without fake shiny appearance. Apply with a microfiber wax pad and wipe off with microfiber towel. I applied to tires with a microfiber wax pad and NO NEED TO WIPE OFF. No sling and the tires look like they did when new. (*This is NOT what you want to use if you want a shiny wet look on tires). Both black plastic trim and tires still look great after several rainy days and 3 weeks of daily driving. No pick up of road grime or micro-particles of any kind and no brown tire bloom. This product does everything it claims (unlike all the other black trim and tire products I have used) .

Product works well on rubber and plastic. I have a Wrangler with hard-top. Been looking for a product to protect the top. Other liquid plastic sealers did ok but were hard to apply evenly and did not work on rubber. With this product it not only removed oxidation from the panels but any over-spray that gets on the rubber seals, just wipe those also. I’ve used it on the inside of the Jeep also and leaves a nice clean finish. So far I have been pleased with this Hydro protectant.

Great for Rubber Dumbbells! Image below shows five cleaned dumbbells with three that have the HydroShield applied - it resulted in a nice shine. It was exactly what I was looking for. It is easy to apply with a microfiber/sponge and a little product goes a long way.

I normally purchase from brands oriented towards professional detailers(Gyeon, CarPro, SB3, etc), but I needed an all in one for tires and trim at the last minute. Never really preferred Chemical Guys, but this product from them has met and exceeded my expectations. It’s a semi-gloss formula, and does a surprisingly good job for dressing tires and restoring trim to a like-new, dark, low luster black finish. It’s not greasy, and resists rain and the elements fairly well without washing off or fading again. My only complaint is that it is pretty runny, so I HIGHLY recommend a good microfiber applicator. Note: this is not a one and done restoration solution. Expect to apply this product multiple times to achieve the desired result. I found that after 3 washes and a somewhat liberal application after each that I was able to achieve a restored trim and tire look. Expect to thoroughly and properly clean contaminants off of your vinyl, rubber, or plastic before your first application.

Used this in conjunction with their nonsense cleaner. It made the tonneau cover on my truck look brand new. I was very surprised by how easy it was to use. My tonneau cover is the soft type. I started at the back and rolled it up as I worked my way to the front. I was concerned that it might not work so good because the tonneau cover wouldn't be tight. No worries at all. You honestly don't even need to scrub. Just a wipe it on.

If you're still using Armor All, you're using the wrong product! I have a 2021 Traverse with hard plastic trim around the exterior, and keeping it black and shiny has always been a challenge—until I found this. This product gets the job done effortlessly. I also use it on the interior, where it delivers a superior clean and shine that lasts far longer than anything I’ve used before. I first bought it in-store but haven’t seen it on the shelves since—it’s always sold out, which speaks for itself! If you want the cleanest of clean with a deep, lasting shine, this is the must-have product for your vehicle.
