Good fit; works great.
Ordered this new pump to replace my original 96 Dodge Ram 1500. The original pump still worked flawlessly but had $354K miles on it. Being mechanical I just didn't want to take a chance on it failing out of town. The part fit perfectly but I also had new pressure line installed including the one to the fluid cooler. No whining or leaking . Good product. My model requires power steering fluid NOT ATF4. Keep that in mind. I decided to go with Lucas power steering fluid.

Will only last long enough to sell your car.
Lasted 6 months then it started whining. It was installed with all new hoses and had no leaks the pump just went bad. Put a used one from the junkyard andIt is still working 3 years later. Don't buy this pump. Go with someone else.

That was the good. The bad
Well, it looks new. Did the install. 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4. Pulled out the old factory that started to leak at the shaft. Installation went well with new pulley. Did not bother to pull old pulley. Used power steering fluid suggested by dodge (power steering fluid - 4). It says power steering fluid but as it is red could be their version of ATF+4 for power steering. That was the good. The bad? Whines like crazy, could be air in the system? Can't see any. Could be the power steering fluid type recommended by Dodge? Or is it the pump? Any ways may consider rebuilding the original as it was a great pump (original OEM), just started to leak.

Came Apart After Two Years!
This pump only work about two years. The power steering quit working at a stop light. I drove several blocks home. The pump has come apart internally with the shaft and pulley sticking way out pulling the serpentine belt to ride up two ribs off the crank pulley, growling and whining like crazy. It's still full of power steering fluid and shows no sign of leaking. Only light use, with maybe 20,000 miles. Worked great until it didn't. This could have really left me stranded out on the road!

Whines excessively.
Whined from initial startup. Installed according to supplied procedures. Instructions state you mist use proper power steering fluid which I did. Ended up using 20-50 engine oil to stop whining. Noticed several reviews caution about whining and they are true. Don’t recommend unless you are ok with whining.

Works great

Bad product makes noise
I installed this complete pump with tank everything on my truck one month ago it was very noisy and I was hoping that it would stop after a week or so but after a month now it’s even worse so I guess I just got screwed because I can’t return it.
