This is a brilliant pencil sharpener, it sharpens really well and it’s very powerful even on batteries, I have been using it for over a week and I can say the performance is phenomenal. Would definitely recommend

Had in my classroom for a few months now and working well. Top tip, it will stop working plugged into a laptop or computer, but does work plugged into a usb plug. Really good sharpener. Saves loads of time!

Can be a little intermittent - i.e. Doesn’t always switch on automatically when pencil inserted. Works well when it does operate. Effective sharpener

It is a great tool. I had, however, to return many of these before I got one that works very well. The problem was that when I put the pencil to sharp it started sharpening it but never stoped, even after j took the pencil out of the sharpener and it should stop. If you know how to dismantle it, you can fix it but otherwise, just return and try if you receive a good batch that works well.

Mine arrived WITHOUT the usb cable!! Fortunately I had one to try it out with. It’s rubbish!! Does not want to sharpen any pencils I own?? I bought the swordfish icon manual sharpener and that’s far superior if you don’t mind manually sharpening. Far easier than this garbage! Do better please Amazon, you can afford too!!

Makes life so much easier, I have grandchildren who use colouring pencils which they wear down in no time I sat there one Sunday morning sharpening all the pencils, sharpeners broke sore fingers, then I see this what a god send each pencils sharpend in seconds, need to assist younger children as end up buying new pencils, battery or usb to operate it. Worth its money.

Works well, although I didn't read the description thoroughly and thought it contained a USB rechargeable battery whereas it's actually requires 4xAA batteries or you can run it off the (supplied) USB cable. Not sure how long battery life is as I run it entirely off a USB port on a mains extension cable so I never have problems with power/lack thereof. The design is nice, simple and works well, easy to empty the shavings box and visually nice to watch it working! Sharpens pencils well, only tales about a second unless the lead was broken. The three modes (blunt/medium/sharp) are a nice option, but I've never used the Blunt setting as I primarily use the pencils for woodworking and the medium/sharp options give a clearer cut line.

The Amazon Basics Pencil Sharpener does a decent job of sharpening pencils and I like that it stops automatically once the pencil is sharpened, which helps avoid over-sharpening. It sharpens quickly and the blades stay effective for a good amount of use. One plus is that you can plug it in for power, which saves on batteries, but that makes it less portable. If you’re looking for a sharpener that you can move around easily or take with you, this might not be the best choice. However, there are a couple of downsides. It uses too many batteries if you choose not to plug it in, and the slider for adjusting pencil length is difficult to set precisely in the middle, making it hard to get the exact length you want. 3 stars – A good sharpener, but battery-hungry, tricky to adjust, and not very portable when plugged in.

What a great and stable device - it working so well, sharpens pencils with ease. Very good build quality, my kids loved it.

Fungera jättebra, rekommenderas. Hade en annan tidigare men den fastnade spetsen på udden i så det gick inte att få ned nästa penna hela vägen. Denna har jag inte haft det problemet med utan den har fungerat perfekt. Barnens pennor är alltid vässade

Ottimo prodotto, versatile e potente. Funziona perfettamente e permette di scegliere il tipo di ounta desiderato. La doppia alimentazione è comodissima. Il collegamento tramite usb lo rende molto pratico per la scrivania e permette di non consumare ben 4 pile. Unica cosa a cui prestare attenzione è non spingere troppo la matita. Spingendo forse un po' troppo ho incrinato la plastica cui sono attaccate le lame e il temperamatite non funziona più. Ovviamente ho rifatto l'acquisto perchè il prodotto merita davvero.
