Really works!
The fourth toe on my right foot "drags" in my shoes due to previous hammer toe surgery and it's a floppy toe. This has resulted in painful walking. I ordered one of these hammer toe cushions and it lifts the toe off the sole of my shoe and keeps it from rubbing. This is a great alternative to surgery, which would the next step. I love it.

Hammer up, not down 👍
If you have a hammer toe you know it's no joke and really painful. This little pad really works. It provides support for the affected toe, raising it enough to keep it from rubbing on the footbed and causing blisters and inflammation. The medium was a little small for me, size 14 to 15 shoe, so I went up to a large which is perfect. I also tried the extra large by ordering directly from Pedifix. X_large works but large was best being less bulky. Honestly I forget I have this on most of the time. Yes you can feel it at times but it's better than the pain of not wearing it.

Works pretty well
I liked that my toe was forced straight making my foot more comfortable it fits behind your toes with an elastic strap that goes around the messed up toe. That’s the only problem I had. I had developed a sore on the hammer toe. The elastic that makes up the strap is thin and it kind of dug into my sore toe. It did work but I had to wait until my toe healed.

Hammer Toe Crests Saved Me From Expensive Surgery and A Long Recovery with Foot Casts. A Miracle For Me.
My podiatrist gave me three of these when the hammer toes on my right foot got too painful to cope with. I had thick, painful calluses on my second, third and fourth toes. He shaved them down as far as he could and said, "I think we can treat this conservatively for you, Frank. Let's give it a try and if doesn't work, the next step is surgery." Three weeks later, after wearing one of these with a little elastic band over my third toe to hold it in place, my toes were no longer driving into the ground. Now it's about 15 months later. I ordered five more from Amazon. Three were the same size, medium. I decided to try two of the large ones too. The medium size doesn't get under my fourth toe completely. Boy am I happy I went to see him and listened to his advice. I now walk with no pain whatsoever at the toe end of my feet. These cost $3 to $5 for each one depending on where I buy them. I keep them very clean and dry and they last me three to four months each. May last much less for some of you depending on your lifestyle and work.

Terribly Made
What you can't see from the picture is that this device has one very narrow elastic band to secure it to one toe. If that band is not in the correct spot on your toe, it does not push it down to keep it straight. The puffy underbody of this device is very uncomfortable to walk in (without shoes on, I mean. It is virtually impossible to wear shoes with this). I would instead reccomend the tripple toe straightener from Footsmart.com, item #40169. Even if you only have a problem with one toe, this device makes more sense because it has wider and sturdier bands, and a flat backing that covers all three toes. It is far more comfortable to wear. I have only been using it for about two weeks, but I think it is making a difference. The problem is that most of these devices are next to impossible to wear with shoes on because they are bulky and the bands pinch inside shoes. They can be worn comfortably around the house with slipper socks over them.

not two like the Right ones I bought earlier
Only one per package, not two like the Right ones I bought earlier. Does the job. Comfortable wear. Not very washable, but OK.

Relieves pressure!
I have a hammertoe and used to have a lot of pain from that toe hitting my shoe. It gently pads the bottom, lifting it up, and I'm pain-free. I put it across two toes, and it's got an elastic, so it's adjustable. Ensure you order the correct size, specifying whether it's for the right or left side, and avoid pulling the elastic too tight.

I like it...and I’m hard to please!
This is the fourth item I have tried to help with a mild “hammer toe,” and it’s the first one that was easy to use and effective. It isn’t the most expensive, but it is the most comfortable and practical corrective device. I’d rather avoid surgery if possible, and I can actually stand to wear this. The strap easily adjusts and stays snug (but not too tight). Give this one a try before investing in something expensive and see if it does the job for you. The others I’ve tried were either difficult to put on or actually hurt to wear.
