The Tao of Tea, Black Mango Black Tea, Loose Leaf, 4 Ounce Tin

In my opinion. Outstanding bouquet. Flavor is very smooth. I was pleasantly surprised. I will definitely purchase again.

On a whim, I purchased this tea because I love black tea, and mango, so this seemed like a slam dunk. It is actually very good. In full disclosure, this was my first experience with making tea from loose leaf material. That being said, of course this is a little different than making tea in the regular fashion. You may want to get an infuser, but I used my French press, which I typically use for coffee, and it worked phenomenally. Let us now please marvel at the absolute beauty of the packaging! This is by far the best presented and packaged tea I have ever bought. I am already dreaming of possible uses for the container once I have prepared all the tea. It is a solid metal tin, with an air-tight cap, and a secure lid under. The tin itself I'd pay at least $2 for, and it pleases me just as much as the tea does. If you do any type of crafting, or sewing, this could easily replace grandma's cookie tin of random odds and ends. I do not know why this fills my soul with such joy, but it does. Anyways, the flavor of this tea is exactly what you would think good black tea would taste like if you had dropped a few pieces of fresh mango in it. Other than that, the real difference I would like to pass on to you is that it just tastes fresh. I'm not sure how else to explain it, but it tastes like every tea I've made from teabags now has a slightly ancient taste to it. These loose leaves just seem much fresher. Also, being loose leaf, they really pack the tin full of leaves, they were packed so tightly I had to use a spoon to get the first bunch out. They are dried to perfection, and will fully absorb the water once you brew. The packaging suggests that you can brew each batch twice, but I have not tested this. The tea produces a lovely honey-brown sort of a color and is very aromatic. The mango flavor is present, but not overpowering. The caffeine level of this tea is just above medium. PROS: + Great price for the amount of tea. + Packaging is world class! + Great flavor and aroma. + MEDIUM level of Caffeine. CONS: - Lid on tin can be hard to open at times OVERALL GRADE: A+

This is so good and such a good mango scent and taste. I add some honey to it which adds some sweetness to it. Which is amazing

I was honestly not expecting much when I ordered this tea! It blew my exceptions through the roof! So to speak. ;) I have an addiction to mango flavors and caffeine, who doesn't?! Lolol, but nonetheless I have been on the search for a flavorful mango black tea. It is safe to say my search ends here! I absolutely love the packaging, it's definitely made to ensure freshness for however long the tea needs to stay fresh! I of course plan on reusing the ton for other tea when I finish it. I've seen a few reviews where the little kmowb broke off and they deemed it unusable and a waste. HELLO, just drill in a screw part way and BAM, new functional knob. You knobs. 😅 The flavor is a 15 out of 10 for me, no bitter aftertaste(unless it's user error Ie; to high temperature water used, over squeezing the leaves, etc). You can definitely mostly taste the fresh light and sweet mango flavor, which is exactly what I'm looking for! And all the caffeine of a black tea! The price was extremely decent, I would have personally paid a little more in all honesty. Especially considering the packaging. I already ordered a few other teas from the same line to give them a try. 😍

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This was a beautifully packed tea tin with an inner seal along with the outer metal tin top seal. Unfortunately this was shipped in an amazon paper envelope- and the very pretty round tin was bashed in the side and permanently bent. How sad :( The tea was packed to the brim. I measured it and it was 0.6 oz over the promised weight. Hopefully it will taste delicious.

Good quality loose leaf tea for a reasonable price. The tin is nice when traveling as tea leaves don't get crushed.

Ready for this? The Black Mango Black Tea is some of the best tea I have ever had! That is a stout statement. I rarely write reviews. This is a delicious, not overpowering tea that has the right amount of body (and a dash of natural sweetness because of the mango). Understand that a little goes a LONG WAY. You could use about half to three quarters of a tablespoon. Steep it for about 3 minutes. I can’t believe how good this tastes! If you are somewhat new to tea making understand that loose leaf tea like this can be used over again. If you use a tea ball or a teapot with a mesh strainer make your tea as per the directions. Don’t throw that tea out once it’s used! Let it dry and steep it again! This time let it sit in the hot water longer than the first time (if you steeped it for three minutes this time steep it for four or four and a half). That’s it. It is well worth the money for two reasons: It tastes amazing and a little goes a very long way. The Tao of Tea does it right!

I’ve been using this tea for several years and love it. I’ve had a subscription since I started using it and receive 2 cans each delivery. I’ve only had one issue that was with my last subscription Sept 2023. I recently opened the second can and found it to be moldy. I’m guessing that it had moisture get into the container before it was sealed. Unfortunately, since I just found the problem I’m past the return date. But, I would still highly recommend this product as this is the only issue I’ve ever had. Photos of good tea visible mango shreds and bad tea all grey.
