Compact, nice case. Great for range use, personal occasional use.
This rear sight pusher tool works fine for Glock rear press on sights. It does’t hold the gun slide in place by the guide rails on the bottom of the slide but uses a screw to push down on the top of the slide which sits on a just wide enough plate. Not the best method but does work, cocks the slide slightly at a nose down angle once slide is secured. Could use 3 hands to set up, but with a few tries you’ll get it set up without cussing. The machining of the female threads on the frame of this tool are loose, as a former machinist I would call it sloppy. Frame of tool is made from hard aluminum, thick, wide, and sturdy. Pusher block is steel. Light grey anodized color, has increment markings stamped on frame above pusher block but no indicator pointer to reference to it. Comes with two hex wrenches for adjustment of working parts and a nice semi-soft firm storage case, so you can carry it in your range bag and it won’t beat up your gun. Used it first time on a Glock 45 9mm Gen 4 to install better sights. Easily pushed the factory sight off, and just as easily pushed the new one on. The pusher block is square, doesn’t have the tapered edge to match the factory taper on the Glock sights. Surprisingly it worked without damaging them. New sights were almost 90° ends and this fit well with the pusher block. Would be nicer if the pusher block could be flipped over to have both tapered & 90° edges. Note that Gen 1 & 2 Glocks were a very tight interference fit on their rear sights, having experience installing many new sights on these slides resulted in breaking of an all steel factory Glock tool back then when I worked with them. Newer generation Glocks were designed a bit easier to R & R the sights, so if you have a Gen 1 or 2 this tool might struggle with removing them. For use on applications of other brands of guns I can’t say at this time, but I don’t foresee it having any difficulty. Good for minimal use, great for having on the range for those fine adjustments to your eyesight. I’m a former range instructor for a large metropolitan PD, certified Glock armorer, and have even visited the Glock factory in Austria many years ago when they allowed you in. Bought this tool after my own $$$ tool was “borrowed” and never returned. You could say stolen, really. They don’t grow legs and walk away like some people say.

Easy peasy!
Works great. Obviously for a tool you’re not going to use very often, for price, it’s a good deal. After changing a few sights I feel like it’s paid for itself. Good quality and simple to use. English instructions as well.

Solid tool
I recently used this sight pusher to swap out my handgun sights and it worked great. The tool felt solid and well-made, and it applied smooth, even pressure without damaging my slide’s finish, which I was worried about. Installation was straightforward if you follow the instructions and I got my new sights perfectly aligned without any issues. If you’re looking to change your own sights, this tool gets the job done pretty well.

Secure clamping
I used this on a Taurus GX4. This was the first time I've ever attempted to replace sights myself. This tool made it more than simple! I watched several videos on YouTube to get an idea of what it would be like to replace sights and what type of tool designs were used. When I seen this model it seemed best based on design and price. I made my purchase not knowing what the quality of it would be once I got it in front of me. There are lots of adjusting points to it, so I got out my needle oiler and went to work on all the threads to make sure there would be minimal resistance. I didn't intend to replace the sights immediately, but once I set the slide in place for a test fit, secured it, and moved the pusher next to the sights... Next thing I knew the rear sight was just about ready to come out! I can't believe how easy it was, I guess I expected a much harder time. The tool worked smoothly and nearly effortlessly. The most complicated part was knowing exactly how high to set the slide in the tool in relation to the top of the slide and the pushing mechanism. If you decide to purchase this and have any issues with resistance of your sight I would recommend using a little oil on the slide to help it glide in the notch. Other than that I have to be very careful to resist the urge to keep taking the slide off and on just for the heck of it! Or buying more guns and slides to replace! Which sounds like more fun than my budget would allow. Bottom line, if you are not sure about the price of this, call and ask how much a couple of places would charge to switch a sight for you. Then realize this thing will pay for itself very shortly.

Very nicely made and packaged! But...
This sight pusher is very sturdy and does a great job of locking the slide in position while you remove or install a rear sight. However, I only gave it 4 stars because the sight block has perpendicular sides and when pushing in an angled sight it does slightly damage the new site (only one small contact point caused a depression in the new sight). It does not affect accuracy in any way, but does look a bit unsightly. Hopefully future versions include an angled pusher.

I bought my first set of sights and this pusher. Installed seamlessly however I made the mistake of buying XS sights for my first irons. Lessons learned. I recently bought truglos like someone who takes their tools seriously to replace and this sight pusher worked even more wonderfully. If you’re a competent person you can surely put irons on your self ESPECIALLY with this tool. No it didn’t mar my slide and if it did, I wouldn’t cry about it. Yes I read other reviews and was slightly nervous that this thing was gonna suck. Must be a skill issue because this is a well built tool.

Well made tool but design limits its functionality
Well made tool but didn't quite meet the needs intended. The tool will work perfectly fine removing and installing rear dovetail sights however, the width of the slide bracket isn't wide enough to slide on an optics adapter plate. At least that was the case with my gen 3 G20. I had no choice but to send it back.
