Where can I buy replacement filters? How long will the filters last?

Thanks for the question!  Here at Qwench Pure, we are so excited to see your interest in our product. Thank you!  We expect to have replacement cartridges available by second quarter of 2016.  As far as the life of the filters, it depends on the how many people are using it each day, the amount of chlorine and contaminants in your water, and the water flow of your shower head.  On average, this means the filters last between 4-8 months.  We are developing a questionnaire online to help customers assess when to replace their filter. I need a filter that softens the water.  I have extremly hard water.  Is this a good filter for hard water?

A shower head filter cannot soften water (remove hard water minerals) The only way to get soft water in a shower is to install either a whole house water softener or the "ShowerStick" shower water softener made by WaterSticks (watersticks.com). You won't get the results you're looking for unless you remove the hard water minerals.

does it affect the water pressure?

No.  I have not noticed any loss of water pressure. Water shoots out just fine.  Hope this helps.

What percentage of chlorine and chloramines does the filter remove? Also what other nasty things does the filter remove? Thanks

This filter works best in hot water as the catalytic action is faster at higher temperatures.  No filter will remove 100% of all contaminates. Any filter hot water shower filter that claims to remove all chlorine and chloramine is very suspect, most likely they are not able to fully test their end results.  Under normal shower conditions of 1.5-2.5 gallons per minute flow rate, and between 100-120 degrees Fahrenheit the QwenchPure Shower filter is very effective. We have measured over a 90% reduction in free chlorine. This is the practical limit of titration tests, it could remove much more. We use the HACH brand Free and Total Chlorine test kit # 212900.
