My nails can grow well but they always chip and flake. Especially my dominant hand thumb and middle finger. I am a gym girl, I wash dishes, I cook for my lovef ones, I type on the keyboard 8-12 hours a day, I am a dog mom, I box. I wanted a little extra protection and mostly was wanting a little color while I take my month long break from nail polish to reduce yellowing and stuff so I can have a very nice french tip for a wedding. I used it on my toes too. My nails immediately felt more protected and stronger. It looks like the stains are fading. This video is with 2 coats of the purple one on. Cannot wait to try the pink!!

This works great! There is no color at all regardless of the purple look of it. It hardens your nails nearly instantly meaning it drys fast. It was well worth the buy!

Great for everyday wear and nail protection...

I was initially really frustrated with this polish: I was expecting two coats to give me a beautiful, subtle lavender sheen that stuck around for a week, maybe, before I needed to put on another coat. What I got is no change in color and almost all the polish chipping off in 2-3 days. But... and this is why I still give a 4 star review... my nails are INCREDIBLY weak and easy to break, and after a week they suddenly aren't. They feel stronger at the tips. I smashed my finger into something while mowing the lawn earlier today and barely chipped a nail - I was expecting the entire end to have broken off. So maybe this isn't as aestheticly pleasing as I hoped, but I am going to keep using it. I would love a little more color but I value having nails period over that!

Essie Nail Hardner works great for me keeps nails hard and helps them grow. Wear alone or polish over with any color.

Applies 3 days ago, no tint of color at all and my nails have broken more now than prior to using! I purchased with the intent of using in between colors so I had just a slight color would be protective. Definitely did not work that way. Most definitely it was a waste!

Didn’t make any difference . It’s like any other base/top coat! what a disappointment and what a waste of money

This is a decent enough polish/base coat, but the purple tone has now faded toward a brownish color. Sort of defeats the purpose of a yellow-neutralizing base coat.

Update. It took about 2 applications but my smokers nails have significantly improved and I have never found a product to do this! I buff them and I lose the nail! Don't smoke but if you do buy this!! My nails are horrible because I swim everyday. This appears to help. I will update as to length of wear and overall results

I feel as though I've FINALLY found a product that makes a difference with my weak nails. It goes on thick and stays on. I put some on the underside of the nail now that I actually have some growth! I highly recommend thos product.

Nice color, I believe it's working to keep my nails strong but you need to apply it daily. Looks great when applied, but the polish doesn't last long and chips easily.

The product peeled off the next day, it just didn’t work for me. I wanted something to harden my nails so I wouldn’t bite them and they could grow, it didn’t work. Also the “tint” colour is non existent.

I got the one that is purple/violet tint, and the clear bottle looks like a rose colour. However, when applied there is no colour, and is perfectly clear. The smell is strong, and it dries fast. Time will tell if it helps with my fragile and brittle nails. If it does then I will be grateful and not concerned about it being clear. But I was in hopes that the purple tint would hide my discoloured and damaged nails from having gel nails removed.
