Stopped working after 2 weeks, have changed batteries and still not working

Since my fire tv remote was out of order and wasn't repairable, this was the cheapest option available for me. The remote works just fine. It's obviously a duplicate, made with cheap material (you can feel it by keeping it in hand), and functionality is little slow. Sometimes need to press a button twice or thrice to make it work. Anyhow, not bad for the price.

Despite instructions and having tried on both my Amazon Fire TV boxes, the fire tv was not able to discover the remote and connect.

I am trying to pair the remote since i got it with no success, changed the battery several times but it kept disconnected
