I rent and when they readied my apartment they just painted over my peep hole. I didn't want to bother maintenance over something so minor, so I just bought this. Its nice and has a little flap to cover it for extra privacy. Its a good little fish-eye peep hole lens, very easy to install by hand. No tools really required. For the price you can't beat it.

This peep hole was easy to install using a drill. It looks good and I like the cover on the inside of the door so no one can see you looking out!

I needed 2 peep holes for the 2 exterior doors in my home. With 1,000+ listings on Amazon for peep holes, i thought I was going to have to read just as many reviews before I decided which to buy. I knew I didn't want to spend more than $10 each, so that narrowed it down a bit. I finally choose this one (I think it was an Amazon best seller or something similar) but only bought one just to make sure it was what I wanted. It arrived in just a few days and was in perfect condition. No scratches, no dents, no cracks. It unscrews easily into 2 pieces, so you can slide each piece in from either side of your door and screw it back together, and tighten in your door. It states to use a 9/16" drill bit (or spade) on your door to install peep hole in. I didn't have one on hand, but did have a 5/8" spade bit. I used this and it installed easily. The 1/16" difference made little difference. There are even 2 slight notches on one end to help tighten it up in the door. The wide angle does work, and gives you a nice wide view of your porch, or whatever your view might be. I was able to see much more than I expected. The peep hole cover on the inside is a nice touch, although you can not see inside when looking thru peep hole from outside, so like double security for that if it concerns you. No one is seeing inside thru this peep hole. This is an extremely good buy for $8 bucks. For $8, you get piece of mind when you're able to know who's knocking on your door late at night BEFORE you open your door. For me, that's an awesome deal. I just ordered the second one for my back door. If a little more security is what you're looking for, and you can't afford one of the new video door bells, and can't see who's knocking without opening your door, this should be a must for you.

Looks good, can see through it clearly, good price. Don't particularly like the logo on the inside cover. Took at star off because it requires a 3/5" drill. With 6 drill indexes, surprised I don't have one of that size.... I ended up using a 1/2" bit and essentially had to work it until I got a hole big enough and aligned well enough to preserve the angle / resolution of the sight glass. 5 stars if it came with this odd drill bit size (or was 1/2" hole like the previous sight glass.

This door-viewer is what you're looking for. It's well made, easy to install, and provides a perfectly clear wide-angle view. I researched a variety of door-viewers and initially had my mind set on the larger viewfinder type. However, none of the versions available on Amazon were the right color. Once I came across this product, I realized it was the next best option. As many of the other reviewers have stated, this product has excellent clarity. I didn't realize this was a unique characteristic until I read reviews of other similar products. This door viewer operates well and the cover moves smoothly. The only part about this product I don't care for is the etched name "Togu" on the user-facing side of the cover. It's an eye-sore but honestly I only felt that way when I initially installed it. I haven't noticed it since then and the pros of this product well out-weigh the cons. For the price, it's an incredible value. I doubt there is a better option on here at the same price-point. If so, I was unable to find it. Do yourself a favor. Stop looking around and just purchase this one. I received no discount nor incentive to purchase this or leave a review. While I'm delighted to have purchased this product, as expected, I had to drill-out the existing hole wider that has a "standard", "typical" peephole already installed. It wasn't much, mind you, but I have a steel door. If someone has good quality cobalt drill bits, that's no problem. I had to use a 1/2" bit to route out the existing hole. If someone does not have a 1/2" bit, it will cost them a lot of money to buy the bit just to widen the hole for a $7 peephole....and if they don't have a drill, then that's an added expense, as well. But...because I have these tools, I was successful in installing this; just remember though that it's not going to be a simple replacement of a standard size to this one.

This little peep whole is fantastic!! it gives you a nice clear view of your front entrance and anyone that approaches your door, love the privacy cover, and it looks great ! I am very happy with my purchase !! Don't hesitate to buy its a good quality product, and it does the job nicely !!
