Easy to connect to my tablet. Very lightweight.

My Surface Pro 3 decided that it no longer wanted to connect to the MS touch cover. In fact not any touch cover! Appears to be a hardware problem with the connections on the Surface. So rather than junk the Surface, it now has a new lease of life with this Bluetooth Keyboard. It may not have quite the feel of a MS Touch cover, but it works well and can be charged while in use from the surface power supply. Only annoyance was the supplied cable was junk. But who cares, we all have loads of spares knocking around don't we? Did not get the 5 star rating as it is not as good as the real thing, and the dodgy cable is really inexcusable. Quality control failed on that one. Apart from that well package and works well. What is there not to like, especially with the price differential to the MS one over this.

Really good product and brought some "newness feel" to my surface pro device. Great value for money. Battery life is good and I've charged it just once in the last 5 weeks. An exceptional design effectively meeting needs and exceeding expectations. The responsiveness is pretty amazing.

Works well

Only connnects via bluethooth, which does drain the laptops battery a bit. Mouse pad is also not great, its hard to do a left click.

I really like this keyboard, I'm even using it to write this review. It maybe lacks some of the refinement of a Microsoft Typecover (no backlit keys, louder keystrokes), but it more than makes up for it in terms of value for money. The Bluetooth connection works faultlessly, and I like that the keyboard can be detached from the Surface Pro to work at a distance. The trackpad has support for multi-touch, but if you find yourself catching it whilst typing, Function key + spacebar toggles it on/off. Some reviews mentioned the delete key not working, but I think as someone else said, this is probably because they had F12 set as the default action (Delete and F12 are on the same key). You can toggle the default action of the top row of function keys by pressing the Function key + ESC. So all in all, an excellent piece of kit that has given my Surface Pro a new lease of life.

I am a full time student so my income is very limited which is why I chose a cheaper non branded keyboard to try and save my money. Boy do I regret this!! It constantly glitches out , I try and move the cursor and it moves it the opposite way on screen or just flickers or adds words as I press delete or completely freezer or refuses to connect to the computer… it’s really plasticky as you type as well and buttons on there don’t operate like normal keyboard for example the delete label button does not actually delete. Clt alt del does not work either. It will pick and choose what it does when it wants and be damned if u want to do work…just want to turn back time and buy the real thing… which I now have to do anyway

Was OK for a time, loses connection regularly, not great Updated to 4 stars, great service from the arteck team to rectify faulty unit, new unit in perfect working order, hopefully time will tell if this new unit will last out the warrenty.

Very good product, I appreciate being able to afford the keyboard that works with the surface. My work gave me the tablet but no keyboard, so it was on my dime. Thank you

I purchased a replacement keyboard (OEM) once before, it was almost $250, this time based on the age I tried to use the on screen keyboard but that wasnt working. I looked at these that dont charge like the OEM but wasnt sure it was going to work, although when I saw this at the super special price I figured it was worth the gamble. To my surprise the fit an finish of this keyboard is actually nicer than the factory MS one, the keys are smooth and precise, it has a simple process to turn off the trackpad when needed. Charging was simple and even if the internal batteries at some point fail, the charging cable is small and goes right in the side of the surface pro and does not get in the way of anything. This item is amazing, they created a better than OEM at a tenth of the price, I think I grab a spare so I wont need to worry next time I spill on it or break it. Get off that fence and order one!
