GLEN 4043 Mini Chopper Plus

This review comes after 4 years of daily usage.. 😁Total value for money, easy to use and clean. It’s a lifesaver for me.It’s perfect for chopping small quantities of any vegetable. Coarse or extremely fine, as you want it. For larger quantities, I use my food processor but this cutie is just right for 2-3 onions / tomatoes at a time. The whipping blade is a good attachment too. I also like the extra jar that came with the appliance.

Bought this by seeing the image of product and cut vegetable displayed in amazon product page. My requirement does not meet because it smashed vegetable or onion complely. But I wanted small cut vegetable and onion as shown in product image for cooking. Not much useful for me even though I kept it because I opened and used it.Also could have given multiple size cutting blades.

I got more than i expected. I have been ising manual chopper for quite some time and wanted to change to electric one. Finalized this one as it has whisker and additional jar with lid at a better price than others. Egg whisking and coffee blending in few seconds. Chopping of veggies in seconds and tomato puree etc also in a jiff. Overall and good product specially if u have small kids at home and need to make blended or finely chopped veggies to their food. Cleaning is also easy.i loved the additional jar and whisker.

If I could give this negative stars I would. I have no idea how there are so many people raving about this product when it's actually rubbish. I got taken in by these reviews (and the promise of an extra jar) too. No way so many people could be wrong, right? Turns out that they can be and then some.This was supposed to be an upgrade from my solimo manual chopper. It was supposed to give me the same if not a better chopping experience without the physical effort (given a frozen shoulder). Boy was I wrong. No matter what I've chopped in this - onions, tomatoes, coriander, beans, carrots, garlic, ginger - everything has been either smashed into uneven shards or cut up into huge large chunks. Forget about tomato puree, I was lucky to get smashed tomatoes with a few large chunks still in. With onions the best I got was a medley of large shards. And yes the motor heats up very quickly after which you get that typical putrid smell.Unfortunately because I absolutely trusted the reviews I threw away the packaging before I used the chopper so I couldn't return it either. It now sits sulking in the kitchen corner and my trusty old manual chopper is out of retirement again.My advice - don't waste your money on this. But then again you shouldn't trust all reviews on Amazon. So my next best advice is - keep the packaging till you have the chance to assess its use for you. Unlike me, atleast then you may have the chance to return it for something better.

Very poor quality jar. I got it on 15th August 2020and have barely used it a few times. The jar has developed cracks at bottom.
