Relatively easy to install especially given that the kit includes the little screws and screwdriver. I admittedly snipped through the metal bar that typically sits across the cords so that I wouldn't have to completely re-wire my beats, but that's the fault of the Beats design, not this product! Even with this adaptation, installation was easy and it's hard to tell that these hinges are replacements.
