Great Slide Dimmer Switch, easy install ...works with IKEA bulbs
Used it in the bathroom to make the vanity lights dim-able. I like the locator, it's a dim green. It was an easy swap, it fit into a three switch box with no issues. My installation was a normal one switch replacement. The instructions where good, French and Spanish instructions were also supplied. I like the programmable dimming feature, you can set the dimest value because some bulbs act oddly at very low voltage/ brightness levels. ...although as it worked out I didn't need to change the dimming value with the bulbs I used. It's nice that it works with incandescent/ LED or dimable CFLs. I'm using it with LED bulbs, 4 clear IKEA Ledare '50' watt equivalent bulbs to be precise (I like how they look). I was a bit concerned that I read that there is a noticeable turn on ramp. I reallly hated the older CFL bulbs that were dark for a noticeable time and then were on. This turns on pretty quickly at a dim level, so you notice that it's working, and then has a pleasantly quick smooth turn on ramp. Great product, if I need another dimable switch, this will be my choice.

Works perfectly!
Bought a new house and wanted the dining room light to be a bit dimmer. I installed this switch and it works great. It was very easy to install—a 5 minute job. Everyone loves it!

Work OK. I like the pilot light for finding the switch in the dark.
Works OK. I like the small green pilot light for finding the switch in the dark. I have 3 switches. Two work flawlessly with LED lamps. The 3rd one occasionally causes the LED bulb to eerily vary a bit in brightness up and down a little at about a 2 second rate when the brightness lever is set around halfway, but this could be due to this particular small wattage bulb itself. It works fine in the minimum and maximum positions. The other 2 switches each control 2 LED bulbs perfectly well.

Max and min dimming control!
I've used Leviton dimmers for sometime now and not sure any have failed. This model adds a new feature from the ones I've had before with MAX and MIN dim! The prior LED supported models I have all thru my house have MIN dim only. MAX is nice because so many of the LED light fixtures have extreme high output, for example the recessed light retrofits. I have some hallways where I really want to use a particular flush looking light but it has >100W equiv bulb output and I wanted ~75W equiv. Well with this model dimmer you can set the MAX and MIN. That lets me have my hall light with a narrow dim range, so minimum is enough light to see and max isn't blinding. The price is a little high relative to no-name brands but the features and quality make up for it. I'm frugal but this isn't a place to save $3-$5, considering fire risk, and if nothing else your time to install...or worse yet paying someone to install them.

Works great - love the locator light
Works great. This is the ONLY LED compatible dimmer with locator light that I have been able to find. Hard to find - not very popular? A shame. My previous, non-led dimmers have locator lights. I use these dimmers for my bathroom lighting so I don't need to choose between blinding myself with a bright light or stumbling through the dark. I wish there was a photo available of the locator light. I had to guess what it would look like - I'll try to post a picture when I get a chance. The locator is a dim green light which shows through the top portion of the toggle switch when the switch is off. The only complaint I have (well, two actually). 1) the LED lights only come on if the dimmer is set to 50% brightness. Once the light is on, it can be dimmed fully. It seems the LED needs a slight boost to kickstart it. 2) There is a noticeable delay between turning the light switch on and the light actually coming on ... maybe 250ms or so. Both problems can be overcome, I believe. It will just take some getting used to. My old dimmers could be left at dimmest setting and be turned on. I will probably get used to the startup delay. Both problems may just be inherent with using LEDs with AC power. One possible solution to problem 1 would be for the light switch to send out a pulse of power at 100% for 100ms or less, then reduce power to the dimmer setting. I do this in my electronics projects where I control an inductive load, like a fan, which requires some momentum to assist rotation below a certain threshold of power. This "kickstart" action is imperceptible to the user. Problem #2... I dunno, maybe a capacitor? This probably has more to do with the specific light bulb and the position of the AC power signal when the switch is flipped. At any rate, I'm slowly replacing my switches in my house to be LED compatible.

Sadly, not very impressed
I have had two slide dimmers (the ones that fit normal, non-decora switch plates) for 20 years. I have three lights wired into a three-gang box, and I don't want to change to a decora switch plate. The older slide dimmers were wearing out, and over those years I've switched all the lights to LEDs. I bought two of these dimmers to replace them. Like I said, I have two banks of lights that these control, one is a set of four LED floods in the kitchen, and one is a fixture with three LED bulbs over the kitchen table. First, when you turn these on, there is a noticeable delay of one second before they switch on. Annoying, but I can live with it. The bulbs over the kitchen table have a full range of dimming, which is good, but they also flicker when I turn on or off the other set of lights in the kitchen, or when I adjust that other switch's dimmer. By flicker, I mean, they turn off for half a second and then back on. The other set of lights do not have a full range of dimming, and the range is actually worse than the dimmer it replaced. So, I know the bulbs can go dimmer, but with this new switch, they only go down to about 40% brightness. Not a tragedy, since these are the floods in the kitchen and I don't usually dim them lower anyway, but it's annoying to know I can't if I wanted to. As of this writing, I am not sure I'll actually keep them or return.

Dimmer works much better with LED bulbs than other dimmers I’ve tried

Had trouble finding a almond colour dimmer switch for our dining room. This was the perfect colour and my husband had no problems installing it. The little dimmer bar on the side works great. So happy that I now can dim my dining room lights.

Purchased this LED dimmer along with LED bulbs for outside use.Easy to install, it has a novel feature...You can program the lights so that the slide lever (on the side) controls how low they go and won't shut the lights off if this lever is all the way to the bottom. The main switch ONLY controls whether the lights are on or off.It has an indicator light for seeing the switch in a darkened room...

For retrofitting, this is a good unit. We have a house that was built in the 1980's with multiple spotlight arrays, and as we switch to LED's, we no longer require large dimmer units with heat sinks, and the width of this one is perfect for fitting our standard 2-switch housings. If you are doing the same thing, beware that the mounting screws may be too thick, as we had to remove those from our switch plates and add swap them for those of the new switches before we were able to mount these new ones. I have ordered more now that we have successfully installed the first sets.
