Surprisingly easy to get connected and going. Direct is basically plug and play. It took a few minutes to figure out connection to a router, but eventually got it going. I'm using it in a small room, so I don't know much about range of performance, etc. But for what it does, it works easily. I'm using it with Photon iPad DMX lighting app.

While it lacks an internal battery and doesn’t come close to matching the quality or performance of something from a leading brand, I must admit that this product does indeed work as advertised, insofar as it is capable of acting as a stand-alone WiFi to ArtNet/sACN node that outputs DMX while connected to a router, or by producing its own 2.4Ghz WiFi hotspot with limited range. In other words, you can for example connect to this device directly from an iPad via WiFi and plug it into a fixture, splitter, dimmer, or wireless transmitter such as the ones from Donner, and using an ArtNet/sACN capable app, control one universe of DMX512 without the need for extra equipment. Though the user interface isn’t super intuitive and the build quality is quite cheap, for the price point I am unaware of another single product that offers this capability that doesn’t cost hundreds or thousands of dollars more. Although I have yet to use it in a professional setting and cannot speak to its full range or longevity, I have tested it in a home lighting environment using multiple dimmers and wireless receivers, and did not experience major lag or disconnection issues that I could trace to this device. If I find something wrong with the product I will update my review, but for the price it’s a solid addition to an entry level wireless lighting kit that doesn’t break the bank.

Saved us from renting something for a lot more money. Easy to use and worked very reliable with the Luminair app.

Was a little difficult to set up, only because they are still rewriting the manual, but once it was done it worked perfectly. And I was very happy that the tech support was very good. They responded to my every question. They just need to improve their English support. A lot of the 3rd party apps are still in need of development, and are very confusing. I finally just paid for Luminair and it all came together perfectly. I'm very happy with this little piece of hardware, and you can't beat the price!
