Phone works superbly as a phone, for 'Skyping' work and friends, text messaging, internet, and hot spot services. What I like best is not knowingly giving Apple one darn bit of my personal information. Phone works great as equipped, and if enabled, will synch with your work or home Windows desktop and browsers. I chose not to utilize such options and it is easy for me to opt out in an understandable manner nor requiring me to read 30 -60 pages of contractual junk.

After the launch of the phone, in October 2015, I was skeptical to buy it because it was quite expensive and still buggy. My old Lumia 930 was still good enough to run any W10 application, so I decided to wait until the OS is more stable. However, I am really satisfied with battery life which can keep my phone up & running for 2 working days. The weight it's an important factor for me, L930 was really heavy compared to L950. I also like the plastic cover, it's really handy and it's light. The screen: There is no difference between Lumia 930 and Lumia 950, even the resolution for L950 is greater. I think there is no point having a resolution greater than 1080p for a 5.2 inch display. Windows Hello is a cool feature, and works almost all of the time. I had some difficulties using it on the beach, maybe because I was struggling to open the eyes for the iris scanner due to the sun. I recommend this device, especially on this price, £289. Definetly worth to upgrade your old Lumia 930 just because the new device is lighter, has USB type-C (the charging time is impressive ), Continuum is promising and the battery life is better. As cons, I would mention the speaker - the quality is not so good as expected from an high-end device and the camera is just average (or my expectations are too high) .

In terms of hardware this phone is amazing! It has a great screen and fantastic camera! Even today, two years after its release there are not many phones out there that have a better camera than this one. Also it is packed with features! Iris scannner which works great! Wireless charging Removable battery and microSD card Double tap to wake Dedicated camera button This could have been the dream phone, Unfortunately everything is ruined because of the software. Windows 10 Mobile cannot compete with Android and iOS. Everything is buggy, no apps , no support for the existing apps. Even Microsoft seems to care more about its presence in Android and iOS than its own operating system. I would only recommend this phone to die hard Windows fans that still want to support the platform. Anyone from iOS or Android switching to Windows10 Mobile at this point will regret it.

Good things * Can record voice calls finally (useful when talking to customer service type companies who make false promises) * Improved OS functionality Bad things * Despite being fully up to date phone crashes about 3 times per week on average * Not as super fast as I thought it would be or should have been given it's price (it's quick but not super fast) * Given it's a flagship I think the phone could have been made a touch smaller by reducing bezel size * Really wish the main navigation button (the windows icon) was permanent outside of the screen like it was for Nokia 800

Had this phone for some time now, I had a Lumia 1020 before this... and I'm missing the 1020 if I'm truly honest. The phone OS is buggy, the build quality of the phone just isn't there and it feels cheap even though it's very much not. Also if you put the phone (even lightly) onto a surface I find it often restarts it's self, maybe due to the vibration or the battery slipping? I don't know, either way it's disappointing and I'm just gutted I have to make do with it for another year and a bit.
