Pinpoint accuracy, speed, and simplicity all in one!
This is a great little tool - very helpful for setting up cuts at depth on a table saw or router such as dados and grooves. This tool helped me get the table saw blade set perfect every time. I had used setup blocks before and they are nice, but there's no freedom - if you don't have the size block that corresponds to the cut you want to make, it won't work. You can set this to any height or depth you want, and that is very convenient. This also works very good with a router. I cut several rabbets and grooves using this tool and knew I had the depth set perfect. If you do any work that requires depth/height setup, I would highly recommend this tool!

Really great product
I have used this quite a lot after owning it for just a short time. I mainly use it for setting the router depth on my large triton router and small trim router, but have also used it to set the height of a tablesaw blade. It is VERY accurate and I have got repeatable results after moving botht eh router and saw blades. I use the metric scales, but it also has fractional imperial which works well also. Magnetic base is helpful and keeps everything snug. I have two issues with the product which is why I gave it 4 stars, but they are only small issues. It is a little bit 'plastic-y' for a wixey product. Wixey do offer quality and it is made well, but I think it would be a little better if the arms were aluminium or something a bit stronger. I guess the plastic keeps the cost down. Doesn't hinder the use, but a large fall I think would shatter the arms. Second thing, I believe the measuring rod (In the middle) should be lightly spring loaded. If you have a non metal product (my trim router base) you need to hold the gauge to the base, whilst also holding the router and then trying to push the measuring rod down which is a bit clumsy. This is not an issue with a metal base, or using in a router table. Regardless I highly recommend this product, it takes all the guesswork away.

Very easy to use.
This Digital Height Gauge is a breeze to use. The display could be a bit larger, but that's not an issue with it. It's my poor vision at fault. It does make setups a lot easier for me. Good Quality.

Very Useful!
This thing is very nice to have! I'm rating it on what it is - a niche product. Can you get accurate enough results with a steel rule? For woodworking, yes. My rule of thumb is that a piece is close enough to the measurement when I can't say how far it's off using a nominal fraction. So for me that's +/- .015 and this instrument is more than capable of accomplishing that. My only gripe is that the end of the rule is plastic so cutting edges can dig in. That said, I can see myself making a stainless end cap with a setscrew later on if I find the end starts showing wear. Where this thing shines is setting the distance from your router fence to the cutting edge. Really that's what makes this product worth the investment. The hobbyist will benefit from this even more as some of the lower end routers and table saws will have inserts that aren't adjustable and/or sit below the top of the table making straight steel rule measurements inaccurate. You can always compensate, but for the price of this tool and the fact it doubles as a bore depth gauge I see no reason not to have one of these in your toolbox.

Pretty good
Fast read and excellent sensor accuracy. The multi-tool utility is limited by the design. Deduct for the limited 2-1/4" net span between legs. I bought this specifically for registering dado blade height on a table saw. The advertised span is 3". The steel tabletop gap to flat is 3". It's hard to comprehend why the magnetic leg span is designed just short of typical table ground steel flat distance. I should have measured the plate gap on the saw but took the images for granted in its use registering table saw blade height. Works great setting shaper heights. Magnets inadequate with plexi based router templates. Aluminum/magnesium/304 SS tool bases are of course, not magnetic. The legs are not wide enough to be stable without being handheld which throws deflection dancing on the precision sensor. It's a case of high precision inaccurately measuring when I have to use one hand to balance the tool while the other hand cranks the z-axis. Still, it's useful if close enough is the objective in softwoods. I'm getting ±1/16" in precision hardwood joinery mode. I can do better with a kluged gauge. I'm looking for a better tool steel legged gauge with more span for a more robust cross-tool solution.

Wixey Mini Digital Height Gauge
A very nice height gauge especially for a router table but, works well on a table saw as well.

Stop guessing and get it right the first time.
This is a Jim Dandy little tool for precise settings of how deep your table saw is going to cut. It is very easy to use and eliminates the guess factor completely. I use it now every time I cut a dado with my table saw and I get precise depths. It can be used on your router table as well to get your cut depth and distance from your fence. It also can be used to measure the depth of drilled holes 1/4" and larger, using the included attachment. All in all, it is a sweet little addition to my precision tools at a very affordable price. I am happy with my purchase and I bet you will be also. Battery included !

Glad I bought this. I use it for measuring height of features which the caliper has difficulty in measuring

I bought this to set the height of my table saw blade for cutting dados but it wasn’t useful for that purpose. The plastic construction was just too flimsy and my Dewalt job site table saw doesn’t have a magnetic top. Biggest problem though is that it is not wide enough to span the throat plate when you account for where you need to measure the blade height so it was basically impossible to get an accurate measurement. Gauge blocks and small square ended up working much better than this and my regular calipers do everything else I need. Might be useful for a router table though (have not tried that)
