This is the third steak grill gun that I've bought，the previous two torches did not give me good impression, but this one from 4Alltech is totally in a higher level! First, the ignition pin is different from others, special bridge-like design and it is very effective, alway 1-click to light up! I have the ignition problems with my old searing torches all the time, both were totally unfuncional after few uses, but this 4Alltech cooking torch never fail to ignite and it is really durable, having use it for two months daily, still works as reliable as new! Second, the searing head of this cooking torch is plated with some kinds of special alloy layer, make it never fade or wear out after burning, the other torches I have are either bare metal made head that will change to a burnt color that is very ugly, or even just spray with ordinary oil paint which will be burned out upon the first use, not only ugly but also dangerous to health. This 4Alltech cooking torch never has this kind of problem, it never burns out or change color, I had used it daily for weeks, it still looks like brand new! Above all, this is the best blow torch I had ever used, high recommended!

Unless you can afford a backpack flamethrower, this is definitely the next best thing. Ladies if you're looking for the equivalent of flowers but for men, it's this torch. I used to waste precious minutes trying to light my grill, or chase off neighborhood pets, but thanks to this torch it takes mere seconds! Lights quickly every time, and sets charcoal ablaze in seconds. A one pound can of propane lasts a long time. If you're trying to find the right birthday or celebration gift, no man is complete without this.

Returning immediately. Ignitor button is useless. Good thing I had a flint striker on hand for a different kind of torch. But then within a minute of usage, the exterior of the unit was in fire itself! Turns out it was the paint bubbling and melting. Maybe when designing and engineering a FLAME thrower, and I’m no engineer, but….. perhaps painting it with a substance that can’t tolerate high heat might be inadvisable. This is a trash product.

I bought these for myself, then friends and family for Christmas gifts- they will get cardboard burning in a hurry.

Sears my steaks to perfection. I have to crank hard to get the valve to fully turn off.

i occasionally cook steaks using my su vide cooker and needed a way to sear the steaks. This was way cheaper than many of the alternatives and a great buy. This is well made and does an excellent job. I would just be careful about trying to use it indoors. I take it outdoors to sear because it throws the flames.

Was really excited when this arrived super fast, same day. Unfortunately it was short lived as I received a faulty unit. There is no gas flow due to a fault valve/knob. Knob turns easily but valve clearly not opening. Tried 2 brand new gas cannisters while testing and when removing them from gun there is an audible pressure release. Have contacted seller and return & refund arranged no problem. I will re order a replacement unit and update my review once I have a working one :)
