British Blend Premium Decaf Black Tea, Decaffeinated Tea, 40 Teabags (Pack of 6), Rainforest Alliance Certified

The tea is excellent

I've been meaning to write this review for quite a while. I am a huge tea lover but must go with decaf versions because I am sensitive to caffeine. I'm picky - some of the decaf ones I've tried over the years seem a bit washed out. I bought this tea primarily to use for iced tea, which I make in huge batches. It was very nice not to have to open several individual packages and I planned to use a lot at a time so staleness was not a worry. And I was not disappointed. This decaf tea makes a great iced tea. But there's more! Several months ago on a whim I tried making a hot cup of tea with this product (I usually used Twining's Decaf Irish Breakfast for a really hearty morning cup). Tetley's British Blend is actually better - strong, robust, and sweet - with no bitterness. Tetley's is now my go-to for breakfast. I occasionally try Irish Breakfast just to remind myself what it is like but it pales in comparison to the Tetley's. I admit that individually packaged tea bags are convenient when you need to take a special tea with you when you travel, but for at home use, both iced and hot, Tetley's can't be beat.

Excellent decaf tea

I love intense black teas and I especially love milk tea. So I typically go for the Assam blends. Unfortunately I have to watch my caffeine intake for the next year or so and I've been on the hunt for a suitable alternative to my regular tetley premium loose leaf. I've tried 3 decaf black teas: Harney and sons early grey, trader Joe's Irish breakfast and this tetley British brew. Of the three, this tetley British decaf was the best in terms of value and flavor. The worst was the TJ Irish breakfast, that one tasted of boiled water even after three tea bags. I usually make a pot with my dinner and use three tea bags per pot. I like my tea with a splash of milk, no sugar. It's been pretty good so far. I still wish I could find a decaf black tea with an even stronger flavor but this will do for now.

It has good flavor and I drink it all day. Often I take a jug of tea with me to ride distances or work a long time outdoors. Sometimes I'll add a flavored tea to the tea as well for variety. I take it when I am cycling or outdoors working as I need to replace my fluids and electrolytes of water and salt through sweat. Today I went through 1 1/2 liters of tea while working and then had more when I got home to recover. Hot day for diggin' a ditch! And I'll be back out tomorrow. No one else will dig the ditch. With the latest purchase It was not obvious that what I ordered was way more tea than I'd drink in a 3 month period. So I have changed the quantity shipped.

Came quickly, as described. Liked the smaller boxes, less space and waste .

I always drank Lady Grey, Earl Grey, English Breakfast, etc. For me they tasted richer somehow. I tried this Tetley British Blend Decaf, and it is now the only tea I use whether I have a hot tea, a cold tea, or even a cold tea with milk and a dash of a special creamer. I drink tea all day long so I really needed to get rid of the caffeine, and I had been using the regular Tetley British Blend for a long time, so I tried the British Blend Decaf--and it is my hands-down favorite. Best part is that it is much less expensive than the Lady Grey, Earl Grey and English Breakfast teas, but it still has great flavor. After I open the box of tea, I remove the tea bags and put them in a zip-lock plastic bag to preserve all the flavor. You'll really like this tea.
