Simplest, best, easiest
After getting a crack in one my acoustics last winter, I have become very particular about humidifying my guitars in their cases. I have tried the Dampit humidifier, as well as the Arion In-Case, and this Oasis is clearly the best of the bunch. It does exactly what it is supposed to do - keep the guitar at proper humidity. Except when the humidity in my apartment is very, very, very low, the Oasis keeps the case between 45% and 55% humidity all the time, just as it should. (When the room humidity is very low (e.g. below 10%), the Oasis will still keep the case 25-30% more humid than that - for my more valuable guitars, I sometimes put two Oasis humidifiers in the case when it gets very humid.) The Oasis is small and convenient, and the metal clip makes it very easy to keep it safely and stably in your case. I find I need to refill them with water about once a week, which only takes a minute or two. The Oasis construction seems pretty solid, and I am never worried about a leak. The Arion In-Case humidifier is decent, but it is very big and inconvenient and did not keep the humidity as high or as stable as the Oasis. And there is no good way to keep it stable and immobile when carrying the case. The Dampit was my least favorite - I found it a little more difficult to fill with water and, even though I was very careful to remove excess water before putting it in the case, it looks like it leaked a little inside my guitar! (For this reason, I will never again use a humidifier that sits directly in the guitar - water and acoustics is a bad mix.) Ultimately, you can't go wrong with the ease, convenience and effectiveness of the Oasis. I use them in all of my guitars now. I also recommend the Caliber III hygrometer, a cheap and effective way to monitor the humidity in the case (it even has a magnet so you can stick on the same metal clip as the Oasis humidifier).

Top Notch Guitar Humidifier
I have the Oasis in-case model, it works superbly well. I monitored the humidity with a in-case hydrometer for several weeks, the Oasis keeps the humidity at about 10% higher than the actual room level (if the room is at 39% humidity, the humidity inside the guitar case stays steady at 49%). Of course, the humidity levels will depend on how dry your local climate is. The humidifier has crystals that swell up with water and maintain the moisture much longer that the average guitar humidifier. After the initial fill it took a good two weeks before adding more distilled water. What's cool is that once the humidifier begins to dry it shrivels up, so it's obvious when more water is needed. The in-case model has a magnetic strip and metal clip that fits nicely on the side of the case, no problems at all with leakage, this system is very well designed and extremely highly quality. I highly recommend it for fine jazz archtop and classical guitars. Dear Oasis, thank you for your innovative design.

Humidifier for smaller instrument case
I purchased this humidified for my harp case, and it works well. Distilled water is recommended. It's easy to see if more water is needed because the humidifier twists and "shrinks". I like the magnetic mount, but the adhesive on the metal plate did not stay attached to the inside of my harp case.

works well in my acoustic case for the winter.
I like this humidifier because of its easy use and the fact that it does not leak or drip onto the guitar or case. I read many good reviews on amazon and other sites and have been using it for awhile. I play often and find myself moistening it about once every two weeks. The Syringe works well and makes refilling the humidifier a cinch. This is a no brainer if you are looking to protect your guitar in it's case during the dry months. I have had a few different humidifiers in the past but this one works the best by far. I noticed the sticky tape on the magnet does not last long, maybe because I use my case regularly and sometimes the humidifier ends up on the bottom of the case with the magnet after travelling, but I fixed that with a dab of glue on the case and it made me see how the humidifier does not leak. I would buy another Oasis in a minute if I had two acoustics. I highly reccomend the Oasis.

A Great Little Humidifier!
I have three of these, one for each of my instruments. I love them because they fit easily into the case and it's so easy to see when it's time to add more water (they shrivel up as the water evaporates). I also have one for my mandolin, which is a harder instrument to find humidifiers for because it is so small and, unlike guitars, has no large round sound hole. The tube has a magnet inside to attach to a little metal clamp (included) that's supposed to slide onto the edge of the guitar case. I don't use it though because my cases, which are standard "hard-shell" cases, are too thick for the little clamp. I just leave them either in the "head" section of the case or in that little extra space where the neck attaches to the guitar body. I find I'm filling it about once a week, but I live in a desert where it's REALLY dry. Cautions: You do have to make sure to keep water in it. I let one get too dry once and it shriveled up and became stuck together and stiff. I thought for sure it was ruined. But after soaking it in warm water overnight, it became pliable enough for me to add water again (although it never became as pliable as it was when new). You also have to be careful not to overfill it or the little crystals can float out of the top accidentally. But I've not found this to be a significant problem. The only other thing that happens sometimes (which is actually more amusing than anything) is that sometimes I'll take my instrument out of the case and notice the humidifier is missing. I then proceed to search for it before noticing the magnetized little bugger is clinging to the metal tuner plates on the back of the head! Over-all, these are my favorite humidifiers and I highly recommend them!

I have found that this humidifier pumps out a lot of humidity for its size. It is easy to refill and to know when to refill it (it shrinks in on itself). The magnet and sticker attachment work well. And, its size lends itself to even the tightest fitting guitar case. Excellent product. I hope that the 'crystals' last a long time. We will see.

Simple to install in a hard case and easy to fill with the included syringe (use demineralized water). Re-fill the water about once a week and the case humidity will stay right where it needs to be to protect your guitar. I now have five of these in use on my various guitars. The metal clip easily fits on the accessory lid in the case and then the magnets in the side of the humidifier attach it to the clip, allowing simple removal to re-fill.
