I paid the money and bought the model with the included Kofax Power PDF included but there was no included software, so except for a sticker on the outside of the box saying Kofax included there was no Kofax CD or activation card in the box. I tried to register the machine with Epson to no avail. I keep getting the message "wrong purchase date or serial number" I have checked the serial number 3 times and it is correct. I entered the serial number into the warranty check box and it comes up with the correct machine so there is definitely nothing wrong with the number it just will not let me register it. To top it all it is frequently jamming up when using the auto document feeder. This is too much money to be paying for a machine with this amount of issues out of the box so I think it will have to be returned.

Scanning items is quick and easy, with the resulting picture quality being very good. Scanning a batch of items is also where this comes into its own as the auto-feed tray allows you to simply load up and press a button to set the scanner off doing its thing. My only gripe is that the USB cable needs to be connected to a USB2 port, if you're on a newer machine with only USB3 ports then you'll need a hub with 2.0 support otherwise the scanner will not function.
