Sprite HO2-CM-M Authentic Universal High Output Shower Filter, Chrome

This is amazing. Hair and skin is not scratchy. Took about a week. No loss in water pressure or very little. Easy to install.

The Sprite Showers HO2-BN High Output 2 Universal Shower Filter works great to reduce chlorine. I can shower without being overcome by the toxic fumes from chlorine. Inside this housing comes a replaceable filter, which lasts around 6 months depending upon how many people are showering. I have found that my water flow still is good to get washed and rinsed well. Having the chlorine reduced has helped my skin and hair and lungs. It easily installs by unscrewing the current shower head and replacing it with this - a bit of plumber's tape helps seal the threads up so it does not leak at the installation point. It does lower the height of the shower head - which for those of us who are living with those newer homes with very high shower heads will help it get to a comfortable height. If you have an older plumbing set up and a lower shower head plumbed into the wall and you happen to be tall, you may have a challenge with any filter out there.

These are easy to install and easy to turn/replace the filters. I definitely feel the difference in my skin and hair using this filter.

I purchased this because I had a smaller version of this brand before that had an estimate of 6 months before the need to change, during the change I broke the housing so I had to replace it and decided to upgrade to this larger one that is meant to last 12 months. Installation is easy. Just disconnected it from the spout, applied Teflon tape by wrapping it around 4 times on the pipe itself, screwed this onto the pipe, then applied Teflon tape to the spout then finally screwed the shower head mount onto the filter. The key thing to be aware of is that you want to rotate the Teflon tape to the right (clockwise) and go around 3 to 4 times so it's snug. Then hand tightening it so you don't crack the housing of it. The water flow is rated at 2.5 gallons a minute and it's the same as my shower head. So unless you have a shower head that reduces the pressure and flow you shouldn't have any issues with this reducing the flow. After installing it you want to run hot as can be water through it for a couple minutes before taking an actual shower. Up here in the NE water is hard and dries out the skin and hair. My gf colours her hair bright colours and these types of filters help our skin and hair from being really dry after, plus it helps preserve her hair colouring. The functionality of it works as intended and helps with our showers. Definitely worth getting if your water is hard and dries your skin and hair out. PSA I used a Teflon tape called blue monster. You can find it on Amazon or home Depot for about $3.

This saved my hair and my skin. The city water here is highly chlorinated. It was so bad, my hair smelled like a swimming pool 24/7. I'm not even kidding when I say, the first time I showered with this filter, my hair and skin instantly improved. I can tell when the filter needs changed when my skin starts getting dried and my hair starts getting straw-like. The filters last about 11-12 months just as advertised. It was super easy to install. Literally just screw it in. I used some plumber tape on the thread to prevent leakage and it works perfectly. I've been using the same unit for 1 1/2 years. I'm on my second filter and I'm super happy with it. Wish I bought it sooner.

Don't buy used and be cautious used. We have ordered 3 or 4 in a row now some used and some not. They all have come used and showing the indicator of used (dark not gold) to the point of needing to be replaced, cracked or leaking. Quality control on what is being sent out is non existent. Loved the previous ones we bought a while back.

Cuts the water pressure down considerably

This Sprite showers HO2-CM high output shower filter is useless. The picture is shown is of two parts, one is filter and the other is shower head. The item sent was only the first part, the filter. I had to buy the shower head. The filter is not at all working. I don't want anyone to think of buying the product.

I've been buying Sprite shower filters for years. No smell of chlorine and my hair and skin are much better. I would not be without this!

I bought two of these filters one for each bathroom shower. One is about 9 months old, and the other 8 months. I checked the filter cartridge on the older filter at 6 months and it still looked good. I reversed it and reinstalled and saw no change in the water pressure. The filters are working great in removing the Chlorine from the municipal water supply.

The head seems to spray out to the sides a bit but overall a good deal for cost and utility

Seems to be good I don't smell or taste any chlorine when I shower and the skin softer now
