DeVilbiss 130525 QC3 Air Filter and Dryer

Works very good! Can't complain, it dries the air. Easy to install.

This is a pretty good unit for the price! I've had it for about a month now, I have it down stream of a DIY moisture trap I built going by misc designs online, so far no apparent moisture at the tools. It was easy to install, seems like filter changes will be easy as well, and seems very well built. I would recommend for someone in the same situation as me, just a DIYer who is wanting to get into some paint and body work. Check out the paint guns, as well from DeVilbiss!

This is a perfect drying system for my application, a small garage shop. The system has three stages to trap and contain oil, water and humidity. It includes a nice regulator, pressure gauge and shutoff valve. If your system is plumbed correctly it will work great. It's easy to service and lets you know when it is time to change the desiccant. I can spray paint and run my air tools without the worry of moisture damaging them, as well as, contamination from my air supply ruining my paint jobs.

THis unit is a fantastic buy. I had been having problems all year with automotive paint and fisheyes. The small, single use filters were not enough, even though I already had a water seperator attached in line. The QCS has a very functional water seperator built in, along with a large quantity of dessicant. The closed filters make it easy to replace dessicant. Best of all, I like the shut off valve and air control. This way I can disconnect the air lines, and won't waste dessicant due to ambient air getting into the filter. The first two panels I painted came out perfect, with no fisheyes. This is a great buy!

The filter unit itself is high quality and expected to work well although I have not used it yet. The add is very deceptive, the gauge or any parts of it listed in the picture was not included in the package and would not have fit in it either. I contacted Devillbis and they said to return it and reorder from them with the gauge, but it would be almost $100 more. I did not but found another gauge on Amazon that will work.

I am new to auto painting and have been struggling with tiny pin holes or Fish Eyes in my clear coat. I have tried everything from taking extra time and care cleaning and preparing my work before paint. However, nothing seemed to fully correct the problem. I was running an oil/water separator and a filter but still not getting the results I wanted. After much research I decided to up my filtration and this is the unit I decided to go with. I had to spend a little more on the extra piping from the compressor to this unit (Min 25ft with water traps) but it was well worth it. My work is flawless now. I could have saved myself double the amount of this filter in paint if I would have installed this sooner. In addition, I did call Devilbiss customer support with a question and they were extremely helpful and friendly. It is nice to know that Devilbiss stands behind their products.

This is a good drier as long as you can keep the dessicant cartridge attached to the top piece. When you first get it you MUST take off the top and be sure that the cartridge is attached firmly (with a butterfly nut that is supplied). When I got mine it was not attached at all and I sprayed a bunch of paint before I realized it. I am not the first who has had this problem I realized after reading more about it. Otherwise works well and is a good price.

I run DA sanders, needle scalers, and a CNC Plasma Table....I used to get water coming out of the end of the line all the time. Not with this beast. It's BIG and BAD(Good) about removing the water from your air. Replacement cartridges are $50ea which I think is high....but hey, you get what you pay for! Highly Recommended filter

Excellent Product, but one has to use it respectfully otherwise one will consume the filter's quite quickly.
