50mm Bike Frame Protection Tape – Helicopter Tape Self Adhesive - Clear Gloss – Protect Your Bike from Scratches, Scrapes and Chips (50mm x 2M)

I needed to put some protection on my bike frame as I was going on a bike packing tour and already had some paint rubbing from my frame bag. This tape was surprisingly thick and so super durable. It stuck very easily to the frame, and checking my bike after the trip, shows no sign of wear. I will definitely buy this again, but at the moment I have lots left. Good value for money Vs a new paint job!

Seems pretty durable and easy to apply. I used a hairdryer to warm the tape before applying and that worked really well as the tape is quite thick. I’ve only had it on for about 8 weeks and no peeling so far.

Great for protecting bike chainstays and other vulnerable areas. I also use it for high wear areas around the doors of my motorhome. Use a heat gun or hairdryer when installing to make it more flexible.

Graet product to protect bike paintwork. Easy to apply, and also removable if necessary. Just get the right size for the job.

Very good, better to warm before application.

After a few rides the ends come loose a bit. you may need to press harder when sticking.

Le film se pose bien , a condition d'y aller tranquillement . Même les endroits courbées, il se colle bien et est épais et discret. Je le recommande très bon rapport qualité prix au vu de la concurrence !

La he comprado para cubrir las zonas más expuestas a golpes de una bicicleta de montaña. Antes de comprar y viendo opiniones que decían que era muy gruesa y difícil de dar forma, me generó la duda que no fuese ideal para mi uso, pero tras recibir el producto, quizás algo lento para lo normal de Amazon (24-48h), me sorprendió gratamente, cumple muy bien su función y para el uso que indicaba anteriormente. Es cierto que es gruesa, pero comparada con otras que he usado para el mismo fin, tras algunos golpes, roces con piedras, ramas, etcetera, es lo suficientemente fuerte como para que no dañe la pintura de la bici, algo que otras más finas no han cumplido más que para roces leves y poco más. el adhesivo es bastante fuerte. Si lo pegas en zonas lisas o curvas en las que quede bien adherido a la pintura, yo no tengo problemas de que se despegue con el barro o el agua, siguen como el primer día. Quizás el punto en contra de este tipo de protector, como otros del mismo estilo, es recortarlo y pegarlo correctamente y no de cualquier manera. Haciéndolo bien, casi no se aprecia que lo llevas puesto, y cuando se aprecia es a pleno sol, pero quizás es en mis caso, que la bici es mate y el vinilo tiene su apariencia satinada.

Con calor se trabaja muy bien y se adapta genial a formas curvas sin despegarse después de lavados y 1 año de uso

Tras limpiar con jabón y después con alcohol y dejar secar, he probado a ponerlo en la orquilla y queda mal, además al intentar quitarlo arranca la pintura de la bicicleta!!! Probad en alguna zona no visible antes de ponerlo
