Somehow we lost the hitch pin that attaches the utility cart to our riding mower. I’ve been using a bolt and a nut, which is very inconvenient. An Amazon search came up with this pin as an option. I really like the looks of it, including the bright yellow handle. Should I get dropped somewhere, I thought it would be much easier to see. Indeed it is. It also comes with the retaining clip. The feature that really sold me is the magnet under the base of the handle. It keeps the clip from rattling and is seriously strong. I’m pretty sure this would stay in place without the retaining clip. It’s not going anywhere. The price was good and the performance is superb. If you’re looking for a hitch pin for your riding mower, this is the one to get.

Bought this to use with my garden tractor and garden utility trailer. I got tired of trying to fish in the original tiny pin that came with the trailer, then try to insert the retaining clip while on my hands and knees in the dirt. After several trips to the local "tractor supply" stores I found the style of pin I wanted (like this one with a handle) but ones with the proper pin diameter all had shafts that were way too long and when inserted into the hitch the bottom of the pin stuck down way too close to the ground for comfort. Cutting the pin shorter didn't help because I couldn't drill a hole in the round pin stock for the retaining clip. And without the retaining clip, the shortened hitch pin would bounce out and I'd lose my trailer. This hitch pin is just the right length for the application. It has a black coated pin shaft, so we shall see how well the finish holds up over time. I would have preferred a chromed surface, but for the dozen or so uses over the summer it won't really matter much. The magnet that holds the hitch pin to the trailer tongue is more than strong enough to keep it in place without having to install the retaining clip. I have run over rough surfaces and haven't had the hitch pin move in the least. This makes it doubly easy to hitch and unhitch the trailer. Once I do unhitch the trailer, I install the retaining clip and can then use the hitch pin as a handle to pick up the trailer tongue and push it around to its storage location. All and all a fantastic hitch pin for any garden tractor/trailer combo.

Seems to be as described- solid construction, strong magnet... should do the job with no issues.

A really nice product. The magnet is strong as I don't even use the crevice pin and the yellow cusion is nice. Highly recommend this.

Magnetic kept it in place with key, a real time saver.

Works well on a sled hitch to pin to a UTV or snowmobile. The magnet is strong and gives added security of not losing the pin. The coated handle is nice in cold weather.
