I love that they came with two kinds of screws
They came with both wood screws and machine screw + nuts. I used the machine screw nut combo to put 8 inputs on a 1u rack plate. There is no marking about ground vs signal. The bottom terminal is ground. If you’re using TS cables you can solder signal to either left or right prong. I soldered to the left. (I’m not sure about TRS/balanced/stereo because I’m not doing that in my situation and I didn’t test it. Sorry!)

Mixer rack inputs
They're good plugs. Wish they where labeled on the back which is Tip, Ring and Sleve. Ohmed things out and made stereo inputs for my mixer rack. Workes fine for me. More for inputs than outputs.

Using for custom, not mounted, cable cons.
These feel about the same as others i've used. Lock works fine; you just wouldn't want to really PULL on it, esp with TS (vs TRS) otherwise it will short.

Excellent product! Works perfectly.
This works great for installing in wood. I cut the hole for minimun size and use a file to adjust the orientation. Because of the design, the fit was so tight I didnt really need screws. Of course I had to test them out: I love that these stay electricly connected, Even when I pulled. The connectors with holes makes them easy to solder, you can even use spade connectors. And they come with screws!!! I'm just about to order more to replace he jack's on my other speakers.

The color of the unit. To identify plug placing.
Easy to use. And identify. Works great. This is for my power amp rack speaker output. (Red) hi's, (blue) mids. (Black) Lowe's.

Not fully insulated, ground connects to casing
I tried using this for an output for a 65W Peavey amplifier. Given this would be output, both negative and positive leads would have high wattage power. What I did not realize is that the negative is connected to the chasis and the chasis is metal (not plastic). This would be fine if this was for a guitar signal, but not for a power signal. This shorted my amplifier and caused damage. Don't use this if you need a fully insulated internal circuit where ground is not connected to the chasis.
