I didn't know they even made steel zip ties, but these are great for all kinds of things, I've had several on my chain link fence for over a year, and still shiny as they were new. And they may be cheaper than good strong plastic ties nowadays. The tool works as advertised, I didn't have one at first and just left the tails there, been reinforcing my fence and gates that were put together cheaply and too quickly, with out enough of the little wires they use to hold the mesh onto the posts, so I have been going around the whole fence adding these. I'm sure I'll find other uses for them too. A year or so, have some on my fence that are over 2 years old, holding like new, and still shiny, no rust. Just used several today to repair an hole at the bottom of my chain link fence where a dog had dug under and bent out he fence. Used a piece of steel wire hog fencing material, and these zip ties to fasten it on. Works great.

Works easily and is solidly constructed so I don't worry about drops or it falling apart. The wire ties are strong enough for cattle panel fences. Nice for constructing such fences that will be in use for a couple of years. I also cut cattle panels in half length wise to make low attractive fencing around my flower gardens to keep the dogs out. This gun and cable ties made the job far easier and hold the panels together end to end perfectly.

These have been up for about a year now and I have yet to see rust. They hold tight and have worked perfectly since installing. The tool is useful for tightening so that you don't cut open your hands. The edges of the zip ties can be sharp. This actually serves as a bonus, as I use these to keep vermin out of my chicken coop.

Tool worked as intended with the provided cable ties. The cable ties were a little finicky, but I was using them outdoors in 30°F weather so my hands and fingers were pretty numb which didn't help. The actual tool worked as intended and the jaw teeth did grip the ties well, but I am hoping that using the tool on stainless metal ties over a long period of time may wear the teeth and not grip well. As of now the tool works as described but time will tell if the tool lasts.

These were exactly what I needed for my project. I had to build a chain link fence extender to keep my dog in the yard. These did the job! The tool was easy to use and worked. We questioned the gloves that were included thinking they would be slippery and not protective. Oh contraire! They worked perfectly! This was a great buy and now I have the tool for future projects!

Good tool for a clean tight clamp although a bit clumsy to use

Works great better then plastic ones. Metal is better and stainless also.
