Works perfectly, have a dashcam plugged into the cars rear USB port and the car kept trying to connect to the camera. Since fitting one of these, it no longer tries to connect to the camera, so the data isolation works fine

No way of knowing if it is actually working unless you happen to work in an electronic lab, which I don't.

These are short USB A-A extension cables with only power pins so it is impossible for any data to pass. This is useful in the very unlikely case of some malicious device but better safe than sorry if you only need to charge. There is actually another good and more practical reason to use these in that they prevent wear and stress on the USB outlet. I have some fixed USB outlets that have failed due to repeated connection/disconnection/devices hanging off it and causing stress. Fitting these to the the fixed outlet and leaving them there moves the wear from the fixed and potentially expensive outlet to the cheap and disposable extension cable. Very useful.

Loved the concept of being able to charge phone laptop etc in public places knowing that no possibility of your data being read whilst charging. This is simply done by the manufacturer leaving out the data reading wiring and just leaving wiring necessary for charging. Great for holiday hotel rooms etc. must have travel item to help keep data secure.

I use these for phone charging where I am unsure of the source and for dashcams that automatically go into data mode when being use on the car USB ports. Good stuff and they feel good quality.

I bought these as my 2015 Audi TT wouldn’t charge my phone without also trying to use it as the media input. This meant every time it disabled Bluetooth. These work great, and now mean I can charge my phone and use Bluetooth at the same time!

Die Ware kam schnell an. Lässt sich gut aufstecken, aber ob es tatsächlich Datenraub beim aufladen blockt, habe ich noch nicht getestet.

Schnell geliefert und hoffe das das Teil auch zuverlässig funktioniert. Hatte zwar bisher keine Probleme mit Datenklau, da Apple und IOS sicherer ist als andere, aber vorbeugen kann nicht schaden. Der Preis ist niedrig also warum da lange 🤔 überlegen…kaufen…nutzen…fertig

Doesn't work at all. Plugged my phone in with it and my computer detected the phone right away, and synced.

Works well for charging and no data connection. I like this better than a straight dongle as it doesn't add stress to the connector/device. Charging will be slow because the device can't negotiate a higher charging rate (no data connection!), but if you can accept that this is a good deal.
