Is there anyone out there who hasn't seen this yet? If there is ... you are in for a treat. This is a story about why there are stories ... why writers and movie makers give others this form of creativity. What it does for you. Good stores, movies, literature ... the good stuff teaches you without you having to learn it yourself the hard way.. We used to gather around the fire and tell stories. We used to even gather around the dinner table and tell our stories. The very word Dragon, comes from a very early form of the word " to see"... scholars say that would be due to the fine film that covers a reptiles eyes between blinking. I say it is because when people came back to the camp fire after having seen a dragon in their wanderings it was something " to see " and was marked with great interest by the group. Where it was and what it did as well as how it looked was of great interest to those who caught a glimpse. And so story telling in all forms is still a needed thing to learn from each others experiences. This story will inspire you to read quality materials and absorb from them their meaning... I hope. This is a very interesting and amazing planet to live on... be the Hero for someones life... search for truth and live by doing the next right thing. Read the greatest stories by the greatest writers and Love... and fear not .

Still holds up, kids today still dont read books. this movie made my childhood and enve without nostalgia its great. needs to be seen by kids these days.

This one of my favorite childhood films of all time. One of the greatest adventurous and science fiction tales of our dreams. I really like all the effects of every character like Falcor, Rockbiter, The Flying Bat, Race Snail and Gmork looked real. Which all the human characters like Emporess and Aryu. All actors and actresses did a marvelous job and the director too. Highly recommend it and two thumbs 👍🏻 up.

Amazing movie!! A story that any age can enjoy. An 80's classic that stands the test of time.

Great movie!

What a lead in, huh? I could criticize this movie to shreds while praising it to no end. I think this movie was made when someone was on an acid trip. As much as this is a movie for kids I find the contrasting special effects hurtful to the eyes. The luck dragon is one of the worst props I've ever seen in a movie, while the costumes of the characters are wonderfully made. Yet, the contrast works. The one thing that I could not give into was the volume and voices used. It grates on me that Atreyu does not know how to talk and screams most every sentence and the prince whispers most every word in that fake voice. Then Bastien is an emotional roller coaster between the two. The last half hour though saves the movie. It ties most everything up and ends on a very good note. I have to read the book.

I remember being 5 years old and watching this in the theater. I was very excited to show my 5 and 7 year old. They loved it except I forgot about the wolf. Now my 5 year old is too afraid to go upstairs by himself because the wolf might get him. Maybe this explains my fear of the dark when I was younger. Still a great movie though.

Fantastica versione integrale in Blu-Ray di 101 minuti con tantissimi extra, con audio tedesco e inglese in DTS-HD e 2.0 ch. Consiglio l'acquisto per collezionista.

Por primera vez en BD la version cinematografica alemana, con una BSO diferente y 8 minutos más de metraje. La pista de audio en inglés es la mejor que se ha editado nunca, da gusto escuchar al Comepiedras. El video es bueno, con colores muy vivos, aunque tiene algo de filtro DNR para eliminar el grano original.

Como siempre las cajas recicladas llegan quebradas, pero la película extraordinaria, AUDIO EN ESPAÑOL ORIGINAL de los 80s, subtitulos al español y como siempre la mejor calidad de audio siempre es el nativo, pero para que los niños la vean basta con el español, no tengo queja..
