It's really hard to rave about such a ubiquitous utilitarian kitchen aid, but it's just the right size and so well made, sturdy, lightweight, and INEXPENSIVE that you have to give credit where credit is due.

Great spoon

I am sure this spoon would be wonderful for basic kitchen duties. We used this to stir Lye into our goat milk for soap making and it did a fantastic job. Sturdy, long handle and a nicely wide slotted spoon. I would buy another one for food use if needed. Decent price and feels like it is quality. Would recommend.

I like the size, and it does its job. Good quality, which is not a surprise for this brand. Many times getting out a strainer, even a small one, is not necessary. However it’s what I had. I like it, I like the quality, comfort and usefulness.

After years of struggling with egg shells getting stuck to my hard boiled eggs, I finally learned the method of boiling the water first, then putting the eggs into boiling water for 10-15 minutes, then immediately into cold / ice water to quickly cool. Finally I can peel my eggs easily. This slotted spoon comes in very handy for transferring eggs back and forth on both steps. It's a good quality spoon, and it probably has other uses, but I'm still amazed at being able to enjoy hard boiled eggs instead of shells with some egg on them. :-)

It is a spoon with holes, works like any spoon with holes for lifting things out of liquid. The difference is that it is Farberware and much higher quality than the cheaper plastic or plated metal spoons out there. No welds to rust or break, quality heat resistant plastic. Highly recommended.
