The Best Ice Cream Maker Cookbook Ever Review: Looks vintage but the recipes are spot on! - I hesitated about this book: it looks like something from the 70s or 80s and there are plenty of flashy newer ice cream cookbooks with clever titles out there on desertcart that are tempting. But in the review for my ice cream maker, someone mentioned this book in particular, so I thought I would give it a try. We've made three recipes so far: Classic Chocolate Ice Cream (added Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and chocolate covered pretzels...delicious!), Bittersweet Chocolate Truffle Ice Cream (added the same stuff as before...unbelievably delicious and decadent, even better than the previous), and most recently, Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream which uses Andes mints (another winner!). The recipes are easy to follow and are not complicated. I've since downloaded a few other ice cream cookbooks using my Kindle Unlimited membership but this cookbook is my favorite. Just don't expect anything fancy, nor any pictures, because you will be disappointed. It's a no-frills cookbook filled with good recipes. Review: Chock Full of Recipes - Wow, only paid a little over a dollar for a used book that looks brand new and hard covered besides. The book is full of recipes for ice cream making. Now I have two books and one manual that came with my machine and don't know which one to pick. I'm going to pick up my ingredients on Monday and I just can't wait to try one of these. It cost so much to buy ice cream and to think, we can make our own. Ice cream makers aren't that expensive now and they certainly will pay for themselves in the meantime and you can have endless kinds, the healthy version of something yummy and sweet. This books is awesome. I appreciate the way it is so clean, a Hard Cover Besides. I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase.

The Best Ice Cream Maker Cookbook Ever
This GREAT Ice Cream Recipe Book has hundreds of Homemade Ice Cream recipes! I haven't actually made any of them yet, but just the variety to choose from is fantastic! We bought a new White Mountain Churn and we broke it in with our old recipe we've made for years that you don't cook, and you don't use eggs, it's quick, and it's great! The secret is Eagle Brand Condensed Milk! My only problem is that we have a 6-quart freezer (1 1/2 gallons), and most of the recipes are 5 cups, 2 quarts, etc., so you have to multiply the ingredients to get 6-quarts. There are a number of recipes I can't wait to try!! On the other hand you have even smaller recipes that you can put in the refrigerator-freezer. There are also Frozen Yogurt recipes you can make in this little book as well as sauces for your frozen desserts!

Very, Very Pleased!
I hesitate to order recipe books anymore, because I find that I’m so excited, and then when I get it, I only find 2-3 recipes that I really want to make. Also— an attractive cover and a lot of photos are usually a must for me. Well, I bought this ice cream recipe book based on a review I read, and I’m thrilled! The cover isn’t very compelling and there are no photos, but the recipes all sound delicious, and it was just what I was looking for! I just bought an ice cream maker, and I’m sure this is the only recipe book I will ever need! Not only are there a lot of delicious-sounding recipes, but it covers the basics so thoroughly that you can easily make your own concoctions using this as a guide. This was a great purchase, and I couldn’t be happier!

OK, But No Nutrional Info Provided For Any of the Recepies
Just got this book, and while it does seem to have an ample supply of different recepies (and all that contain raw eggs do have you cook them into a custard, unlike the Ben & Jerry's cookbook), none of them contain any nutritional information. I purchased this book along with my Cuisinart ICE-30BC Pure Indulgence 2-Quart Automatic Ice Cream Maker, and I guess the recepies included with the instruction manual (there are quite a few, all with nutritional info) spoiled me. I suppose if you're making ice cream the last thing you might care about is calorie, fat, cholesterol, etc. details. But for me, I am so conditioned to tracking the nutritional info of the food I am ingesting (even ice cream!) and I am so used to this info always being readily accessible, that I returned this book. It seems this content would have been a minor addition and I feel it was a big mistake for the author not to provide it.

The Only Ice Cream Recipe Book Must Have
After much research looking into ice cream recipe books, I decided to try this one. It truly is the only book you’ll ever need. Most of the recipes are easy, for beginners like me and works with any type of ice cream maker. It also has more advanced recipes for ice cream experts, and adult ice cream recipes. Think mint Grasshoppers :) No pictures, just all great recipes and ideas. I generally don’t write reviews unless an item far exceeds my expectations. This book does. I highly recommend it.

Great easy to follow recipes - a nice addition to a new IC maker
The custard-based plain vanilla recipe was extremely good and easy to follow - including guidance to temper the eggs before adding to the mixture. I've also tried the lemon granita with honey instead of sugar -- it was a unique flavor and one appreciated by my family members who don't like super-sugary things. Anyway, so far so good and I have a number of other recipes I'm looking forward to trying. It is a much more complete guide than what came with my ice cream maker -- I highly recommend including this when buying a new ice cream maker.

Terrible book. Very small with absolutely no photos or other type of illustration. Printed on cheap off colour paper and very small. Nothing like the illustration on line. Measurements are American, cups etc. Extremely disappointing and a complete waste of money.
