This product is awesome
This product is well-made and very helpful, when sorting a bunch of small parts. The only issues I had with it is that 1) One of the pieces within the string of measuring devices had text etched that was off-center and nearing the edge (did not effect functionality, cosmetic only) and 2) There was an instance where I was able to mix a bolt which was standard and it fit into a metric slot. Not sure if that's the tool's fault or the hardware's fault, but it pretty much matched the threads 3 of the 4 times I tried it, but since I had others of the same type fit in the standard hole, i knew it had to be a false-positive result. I would worry that the cable would fray over time, but we can cross that bridge when we get to it. These measuring units are easy to use and slide easily along the twisted-wire cable theyre held onto. The laser etching is easy to read, and matches the reverse of the color theyre printed on (so if on white the text is black - If on black, the text is white.) The nice thing about these is that they dont JUST do bolts and screws... On the reverse of every measuring device is the matching NUT pattern to go with it. You can do bolts and nuts at the same time, to make sure they match up. You can also do stuff that has flared shielding on it, and stuff that has other hardware on it, like locking rings, as long as they dont get in the way of the threads. Be careful with Loctite. You can do it, but it binds up a bit, and will also get stuck inside if it's flaky. This truly is an all-in-one multi-purpose tool.

Everyone needs one in their garage
This thing is a life saver. This has alot of different metric and standard sizes. It has saved me alot of time and some of the stuff I use it on cant be brought into the hardware store to check.

Good quality, but quit heavy
An excellent tool for its intended purpose. One thing that’s annoying and where it falls short is when you have someone to test in a narrow space or if it is fixed to something. Then the weight and size of this chain makes it too troublesome to use. Would have been perfect if the testing bits were detachable from the chain.

Well made and easy to use.
These are awsome. Sae and metric sizes, no more guessing the correct size before heading to the hardware store

Best thing you could have

Es una excelente herramienta para comprobar rosca de tuercas y tornillos métricos e imperial, pero es difícil de manipular porque viene todo en una sola tira de cable de acero. Yo los saque del cable y ahora los uso por separado de su cable original.

So after ordering wrong pitch bolts (a couple of times) for a motorbike build, decided to get a set of these. Do what they say and will save me more than they cost by guessing thread pitches wrongly, and wasting money!!! If like me you cannot tell a pitch or want to check a bolt size etc, these are a great addition to your tool kit.

I like the product, have only had it a month and has come into good use on a couple occasions. However when checking the threads on a Toyota Corolla’ battery holder bolts, I noticed the 1/4-20 bolt/thread checker was missing the female thread portion. Fortunately I noticed this with 3 days remaining the return window. That said, back it goes and will replace it with identical model. I just wanted to share this so all you peeps are sure to do your own quality control checks on the item before it’s to late if a replacement is necessary.

This thread checker leaves you in no doubt about what size thread you need - width and whether it is metric or imperial. Just get your bolt and insert it into the nuts to see what size it is, and the same for checking nut sizes. Each nut & bolt is clearly marked - even on the chrome ones. The nuts & bolts come on a strong steel cable so they won't get lost. The downside is the cost. Wowsers! This must cost about a fiver to make but I paid £60 on Amazon, because I couldnt buy it anywhere else. The reason is that you can't make a mistake with this tool and it will last a lifetime, eventually paying for itself by stopping me from buying the wrong nuts / bolts that are simply labelled "M8" without the thread size.
