Candy Freestanding Tumble Dryer - White

My Zanuzzi Tumble Dryer (Condenser) of 17 years died last week, and so I thought I would try a more climate friendly dryer. I read all the reviews and ordered. Delivery was quick, not as quick as advertised, but Amazon sorted that out for me. This is a fab dryer, far better than my old dryer. It is lovely and stable. It dries in the time it says it will. It is quiet. I love the water collection in the door, so easy to empty. The flint removal is really easy too. Easy to use, even for an OAP like me. It will not link to my Wifi as I have a super fast speed and it is not compatible. At the moment, I have no problems with it. I am pleasantly surprised. I cannot check the cost of each load dried, but I will be able to see if my bills are cheaper than previously, as I used by old dryer a lot as I live in Wales and it rains a lot. I would recommend this dryer.

This drier doesn't shrink the clothes they come out really soft and need little ironing uses less electricity than my old appliance great for rainy days when clothes can't go outside on the line

We've had this a month now and are fairly happy with it. Results have been a bit variable, first times using it were a disaster and the clothes came out steaming wet even after being in there for hours, but I wonder now if we should have left it to settle being a heat pump when first installed - nothing in the instructions about it. Anyway now it is consistently pretty good, usually put on driest setting and comes out fairly evenly dried. Favourite feature is the condense collector in the window, i can watch this fill up for hours 🤣 also the timer function is great to take advantage of off peak electric if you have it. In terms of efficiency, haven't measured it very accurately but it's definitely lower power consumption (but longer drying times). Seeing as it vents no hot air either outside or to the room all that energy must be going into the clothes. It does seem to be around 2-3kWh per load which lines up with the book value. Overall yes I would recommend this dryer.

Been in use daily for well over a year. Simple to use and very economic on electricity. Perfect to put in a cupboard and takes a large load. The condensate gathers in the door tank which is very east to empty and the lint filter vey easy to clean. The drying itself is thorough and given the frequency of use, for me this has been a great purchase.

EDIT:- Not so pleased after 12 months use .... It broke after some 10 months, getting Candy to repair it was a nightmare - all they wanted to do was sell me an extended warranty at a ridiculous cost. Eventually got them out to replace the capacitor. This repair only lasted for 5 months. When I had to use a local company to replace it again. Along with a failed condensate pump. I too am seeing the fault - where it says 15 mins left - yet runs on and on. A clear fire hazard. Today I spend 2 hours trying to buy a spare foam filter for this. The Candy website shows the wrong part ! I chatted to their customer service person, who couldn't actually help me and blamed their own web site. This is all a great pity, as when it works, it works well - but I suspect this will be send to the dump soon. Very pleased with this unit. It does a great job drying clothes, and can be set such that the clothes can go straight into drawers/ wardrobes etc. In my usual case this is set at 2hr 45mins. Power consumption is excellent compared with my old dryer. It looks like its working out at just under 30p a load. Drying is obviously dependant on the load, but a good tip is to give the washing an extra spin before putting it in the dryer. Cleaning maintenance is easy, the water collector is "in" the front door and simple unhooks to be emptied, the 2 fluff filters are just inside the door and left out to be cleaner.

I’ve been using this dryer for a little while now and overall I’m really happy with it. It has a convenient water tank and filters that are easy to remove and clean — that makes maintenance a breeze. The drying performance has been solid, and the machine does everything I need it to do. The only downside? It’s a bit noisy compared to what I expected — however the functionality and features are strong enough that I would buy it again. Highly recommended if you’re looking for value and practicality.

I never usually leave reviews, and never imagined leaving one for a tumble dryer, but this thing really is awesome! I usually stick to big named brands, but the last one I had from Hotpoint was complete garbage. The Hotpoint dryer always beeped, overheated, and was generally rubbish at drying and frustrating to use. This thing however is AMAZING! It uses a heat pump, so it's extremely efficient. It's also very quiet, easy to use and very well designed. I looked at all of it's clever settings, but now I just pretty much shove everything in on it's mixed colour setting which takes 2hrs on a full load and seems to work well for everything. So far it's been safe and effective with everything I've thrown in there, even delicate silks and fluffy blankets! For really heavy items like towels etc, occasionally i'll run it for another 10-15 if needed, but most of the time 2hrs is perfect for a full load. If you're daunted or confused by all of its clever settings, you needn't be. You don't need to use all of it's whizzy modes. It actually tumbles differently for different fabrics if this is important to you, but you can ignore the settings on the dial and just go by the times for each which is way simpler (they increase in time as you rotate). I love how it collects the water in a container in the door, a small detail, but really quirky! It collects in a detachable water container in the window of the door and lifts out with ease. So clever, and so easy. If you can't tell already, I really do love it! Don't hesitate, just buy it. Oh, and it looks nice too!

Only had it a few months but so far it's performance has been outstanding! The Hoover condenser tumble dryer it replaced would have to be put on several times to dry a load properly, this Candy heat pump does it in one go. It's not slow like some have said (we check it when we remember after about two hours, normally after watching a film 😊) and it's all good. Ease of water emptying is genius and our electricity bill decreased within the first month - despite entering the winter months. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
