Julienne Peeler Stainless Steel Vegetable Fruit Potato Cutter Slicer New

My wife said she wanted to make zoodles. I asked "What the heck is a zoodle?" Zoodles are noodles made from zucchini...... I had my doubts but my wife is bound and determined to have us eat less carbs and more veggies and she already had this cutter picked out. One click on the "buy it now" button and two days later this thing was sitting on the kitchen counter. This peeler works as advertised, cutting flawless strings out of whatever veggie you use it on. We have made a ton of zoodles with it and it shows no signs of wearing out. It fits comfortably in our hands and only took a one or two passes to figure out how best to use it. Oh, and the zoodles are great! We found that they taste best when both zucchini and summer squash are used together (zssoodles?) and cooked on the grill in foil.

I've only used it twice but it's as advertised; does an excellent job and is easy to clean (if something does get stuck just soak it in a glass with water for a minute or two). I've read a few other reviews about people cutting themselves using this utensil; frankly, I'm not sure how that's happened, I've found this device to be very easy to use, and safe...with some common sense.

A nice little toy. My salads get boring, and my soups are sometimes bland. This little machine will make shoestring carrots, and piles and piles of other vegetables to add to whatever you are cooking. I have made zucchini strings, bellpepper strings, etc. It is sometimes limited in use (not for egg plant, or apples) but it is fun to use, and takes up little space in the drawer. A good buy!

Not as easy to use as I had hoped. It was just as easy to use my vegetable peeler.

At first I thought this was the height of frivolous, mono-purpose kitchen gadgets. But I love to cook Asian food: stir-fry and pickles. This saves me a ton of time and creates a consistent shredded/julienned product. It is also handy for adding to other types of food for added color or nutrition (i.e. rice pilaf or hotdish). Washes up easily too.

Did not care of this I had a really hard time using it. Every time I did use it I would end up cutting my finger on it. One item I broke my nail and had to throw all the food out. There is other products for the same thing that are better and less time consuming.

Works fine. Very, very sharp. Do not use on spacey days or you will take out a chunk of your hand. Effective and lethal product.
