Awesome Look, Better Physical Feature Layout
As with many of these New 3DS XLs, this is about the design, not the actual product. The product is the same as every other New 3DS XL out there. This one comes in a glossy black (top and bottom) shell and a matte black inside. The design on both sides (top and bottom) are awesome and really make playing Sun and Moon that much more fun. The biggest down side is that the glossy black is a HUGE fingerprint and smudge magnet. You will be CONSTANTLY wiping this down (if you're even slightly OCD like me) to keep it clean. Another down side is that, for the same price as the older 3DS XLs, this one DOES NOT come with a power adapter/wall charger. Fortunately, it keeps the same charging port and charging system as older models, so if you are upgrading from a prior model you likely already have the correct charger for it. Other than the design, this is the same quality hardware you would expect from Nintendo with any other New 3DS XL. If you have an older-model 3DS (and/or XL), and are debating whether the "New" model is worth upgrading to (as I certainly did), let me say this about the new design: it is not just about the new analog stick or the RFID/Amiibo compatibility, though Nintendo likes to tout those features heavily. This New 3DS XL has a few basic design features that really make it worthwhile. The first improvement they offer is that the game card slot is no longer center rear. It is now in the front of the bottom part of the unit and off to the left. So now, when I grab my 3DS XL to pick it up, I never have to fear about accidentally pushing/ejecting the game cartridge. This one feature alone is a big improvement for me. Other physical improvements involve the location of the sound slider, joystick, and power button; they have all been moved to places I think they are much better suited and make more sense.

Does not come with charger
As stated in the description, does not come with a charger, so make sure to order one on amazon at the same time. Overall, the product is very nice and affordable compared to the other options. the black case looks great in person.

Best handheld console, but tiny storage space and no charger a major bummer.
I knew before purchasing this item what I was getting. I had the old 3DS XL (The special Pokemon edition for X/Y), but with the release of Sun and Moon, I felt some major slow-downs, especially during double battles, and I knew it was time to upgrade. So, I waited for the release of the Pokemon edition of the new 3DS XL, and I was very excited to see it come to North America. I've used my old 3DS a lot, so I knew what I was getting into. It performs really well and looks great doing it. I'm not happy with the new placement of the stylus, but moving the power button, start/select buttons, and volume slider was a great idea. Definitely a step up from the older 3DS XL overall. The only thing I did not know was storage space. My old 3DS had a a 32GB SD card that I was able to digitally download all my games to. It fit all my Pokemon games pretty nicely, and I like having games digital so that I don't have to switch cartridges. This 4GB microSD card that came with the New 3DS didn't even fit Pokemon Moon. It's way way way way to tiny. I had to go through the hassle of formatting one of my other microSD cards (256 GB) to work properly on this console, so now I have the space I need plus a ton of wiggle room. I was disappointed to have to go through that since it should have at least came with a 16-32 GB microSD card. I did read online before hand that it didn't come with a charger. Total bummer, especially if you are buying this console for the first time, seeing how you need the charger to play it. It's like buying an Xbox or PS4 without the power cords. It's just selfish and unheard of. TL;DR: Amazing console, performs faster, looks great, and Nintendo did a good job reinventing the 3DS to make it work way way way better. New button placement is good, but the stylus no longer feels natural to pull out. You will need to buy the charger separately and most likely a larger microSD card, as the one it comes with is only 4GB, which won't fit Pokemon Sun/Moon. Definitely a great buy, but Nintendo could afford to not be so cheap with add-ons.

Yes, it has a UAE sticker on the box. No, that doesn't matter.
As many of the reviews have indicated, this 3DS is/was intended for the UAE/Malaysia market. It could reasonably be considered misleading to not mention that in the description, but given that this is currently the cheapest way to get a New 3DS XL NIB I'm willing to forgive. As long as you select NA/USA (or whatever region you're playing in), you won't have problems. I transferred my system settings/account/games from an old model 3DS to this one with no issues. I can play any game with no issues. I can use the eshop, again, with no issues. The only negative is if it ever needs to be sent to Nintendo for service, in which case it would have to be handled by the UAE/Malaysia distributor. Given how 3DSes tend to outlast manufacturer warranties (did I mention my original 2011 model 3DS is still working? Or original 2004 model DS, for that matter?), this seems like a moot point. Buy with confidence, but make sure to get a charger if you don't have any spares. Not coming with a charger is perhaps my only real gripe.

Nintendo New 3DS XL Solgaleo Lunala Black Edition is GREAT!!!!
I was lucky enough to grab the Nintendo New 3DS XL Solgaleo Lunala Black Edition when it was re-stocked on Amazon a few days ago. This one is a beauty and a keeper for sure. I believe this will be the last Pokemon game (Sun & Moon) to appear on the 3DS handheld and to commemorate the hardware, this edition will really be sought after when the dust settles. As the Nintendo Switch is 5 months away from launch, I am wondering what the next successor handheld will be in the coming years. Because of tech improving so fast, I think the end of life for the 3DS will come in the fall of 2017. This all black edition, the graphics are all really beautiful. It came in a bubble sleeve and the box had some slight dent and scratches, but overall it was clean.

Beautiful System! No Game(s), No charger, Cheap Screens, for nearly 300$.
This system is beautiful. The face plates are very high gloss, and the artwork is very pretty as the silver is a lightly metallic color as to catch the light well but not be gaudy. The system is immaculate with no obvious defects visually. The only cons I can think of are the fact that the build quality of the 3DS over all as designed seems a little shoddier than I'd like for a near $300 system. There is an approx.1.25mm side to side play on the hinge for the lid/top screen. It strikes me as a little concerning but i dont think it will eb a problem. The only major Con is that it didn't come with either game for this price, nor even a charger for that matter. All you get is the box, the papers, and the system, with a 4Gb class 4 Micro-SD Card pre-installed. I grabbed a 32 Gb Class 1 Micro-SD Card, for 10$ elsewhere on amazon. I'll see if it works, if not i'll have it for my phone at any rate. Also I grabbed a charger set that came with USB, Car, and AC chargers for 10$ as well. Not Nintendo brand, but i saved 5$ and got 2 more ways to charge compared to the, Nintendo brand, dedicated AC charger. On another, much more frustrating, note. It either came with, or developed a stuck/dead pixel on the upper 3d screen within 1 week of use. These screens are very cheap in quality and really peeves me that this special edition didn't have some better quality control or some cherry picked components.

Couldn't be any happier
I was absolutely terrified to purchase after reading bad reviews, so many sellers and so many reviews on receiving damaged used systems, I was afraid and almost didn't buy this. GLAD I bought it anyway and took my chances, leap of faith.this is OBVIOUSLEY brand new, never used, and even came the very next day with a charge so I could enjoy it right away. Was packaged very well. IM SO EXCITED !! Read before you buy, I did....the charger does not come with it, but I knew that as I did my research and read everything first ...no fault to the seller, its just how Nintendo does it. I was prepared and bought a charger with it. I was even able to combine both my bday and Christmas gift cards to purchase this...win win all the way around for me.

Didn’t come in the box as advertised
Item was $600+ and was suppose to come complete in the box however it didn’t come in a box and was in plastic wrap. Super upset as I would have opted for the 300.00 option without the box if I knew it didn’t come in the box…..
