Well worth the asking price, but can expect some big improvements in the upcoming years..
## Pros: - Cheap, Meta is selling at this price probably at a loss to attract more people. 128GB for around 33-35k is a great price. - Relatively higher resolution compared to a non-existent competition in this price range. - The quality of sensors is top notch. The tracking is extremely accurate. - It's relatively lightweight and can run off battery which means no cables. Very convenient and definitely the future direction. ## Areas for improvement: - The displays could use OLED for better blacks. Though using OLED will hurt longevity so this one gets a pass. Currently blacks are like gray and that is something you will notice if you look for it. - The resolution could use an improvement. Again, it's an extremely competitive resolution for the price, but since it's so close to your eyes, even this feels pixelated and low res. It's early VR tech so expect that to improve with time. - The battery life is barely 2 hours on a full charge depending on what you're viewing. It's reasonably good, but in the future we could be looking at more efficient devices. - There should be a OS level simulated way to rotate when sitting still. It's tedious to have to get up just to rotate to other side of a 360 degree video. Allow simulating that via controls or something on OS level. - The headset strap is not comfortable for long wearing sessions. I should not have to spend more money to get a better quality strap. Wearing this device is a primary function and you shouldn't have to buy an accessory to make it better, regardless of the price. Only possible con I an think of, but it gets a pass this time. - On a related note, as this tech gets better, I expect components to shrink and this to get lighter and sleeker. - Would be nice to not have to create a Facebook account for this, but let's be honest, that's why they're selling this at a loss. To collect more customers and collect your data to target ads at you. That's how they make money, by selling ads and services. - Remotely installing apps from mobile is a hit or a miss. Most times it doesn't start downloading and I have to manually trigger app downloads. I think it's a temporary bug which they can easily fix. ## Other notes: - Use Firefox reality browser. Way better than default and support ad blocking, multiple window and is also far more convenient and reliable with Web XR experiences. - Give Oculus TV a try. It's like YouTube VR but the interface is much nicer and the recommendations are also extremely good. - You can cast your Oculus view to your phone. This is super convenient when showing this to a friend or family member. Just cast to your phone so that you have a sense of what your friend/family member is seeing and guide them accordingly. ## Summary: Great stuff honestly. Making VR affordable (regardless of the intentions) also opens it up to more developers across the world and that will only help give us better VR experiences over time. Looking forward to develop some WebXR and native oculus experiences using this.

The Best but why?
The best value for money standalone VR headset. Dont go for the negative review that it has bad lense or is cheap bla bla bla, cause you cant even find any VR standalone headset at this price. 1. Quality is great, even if you drop it it wont break easily and still works, check out ThrillSeeker channel on youtube for more strees test that guy did. 2. Lenses are old once, yes they are but in this segment they wont dissapoint you compared to $1000 Valve Index 3. Resolution and FOV is good but not great but perfect for movies and watching 3d movies, 360 movies and Oculus games for sure. Casual user wont even find any difference 4. Great library of games, litttle expensive but you get sales now and then and you have sidequest if you want more for free and also with some tricks you can install any android apps. 5. The glimps and your start to metaverse 6. Battery is a concern but get the cable creation cable and you are goog to go. Get the 16ft one 7. Install Sidequest. (Mobile and PC) if you want a lot of best and free content and if you are a advanced PC user. Not recommended for users not fimiliar with advance PC use or adb, but you get a tons of tutorial on youtube if you want to try. 8. If you have a good PC, VR ready GPU, then this can play Steam VR as well, now it has Airlink wireless as well, but you need Wifi6, 5ghz band and PC connected using ethernet for best quality. 9. Amazing hand tracking and controllers at this range 10. In any case you end up scratching the lenses, get a polywatch solution and see the magic, it would be as good as new, thank me later for that advice. See youtube for more info 11. Great mutiplayer capabilities, mic is great and stock speaker are just awesome, and you can still connect your own headsets as well. 12. Get a rechargable battery for your controller, cost around rs400 with batgery and its charger. 13. If you still have more money get an Elite strap for best comfort and wobble free experience. 14. If you sweat much, mind that you might see fog on lense on prolong use, there are tons of alrernatives to try to avoid that, but the cheapest option is simply put a tissue to your forehead and put on the headset and good to go. 15. You are still here that means you are convinced, just go for it and buy it, you will not regret for sure. Search me in case you need more assistance on Oculus, Ashura- is my Oculus id.

Mind-blowing but with some caveats.
Got it on 25/01/2022. Writing this on 09/02/2022. TL;DR - Great headset. Absolutely worth the price. Buy paid games if you want to take full advantage of the Quest 2. There are other ways too to play a paid game as this is an android interface. My User ID in Eleven Table Tennsi is ZIGZAG@WII. find me there and we'll have a good match. Now, to those who really want to read this review, Pros. 1. The moment you put it on, you'll want to stay in it and touch every part of the environment you're in. In some cases you can, in some you can't. 2. Myth that the vision is blurry is true. But you'll find it's more than usable but not quite as sharp as any other more expensive VR headset like the Valve Index or the HP Reverb G2. But at this price point, it's the best you'll ever get! 3. YouTube 360° is reaaallly good. Netflix's video quality is more than OK but not as sharp as you'll find on your phone at 1080p. Prime video is surprisingly better quality than that of Netflix. 4. You'll find free games those are good for what they offer but paid games will blow your mind. Some of the examples are 1. Eleven Table Tennis (outstanding physics and totally realistic 97% of the times), 2. Beat Saber (it's the poster child of the Quest 2), 3. Pistol Whip ( makes you feel like a cowboy shooting targets in slo-mo and doing that to the beat!), 4. Zenith- The Last city (the closest we've come to a VR MMO like SAO) Cons. 1. As I've written above, the blurry quality. Nothing we can do about it. Some YouTubes have found some settings to increase the quality and frame rate in developer mode but it resers everytime you turn off the Quest 2. 2. The strap and the padding. There's always better ones out there so find them. In India, it's either pricey or impossible to get. 3. You get a US flat pin charger in the box so use it with a 3-pin that supports it. 4. I'd suggest you use the charger given in the box as there have been reports of the charging port melting due to excessive charging and what not. I will, if I can, edit this review in the future if I come across anything new. Beware of 5 star reviews as the seller gives Amazon gift cards in the box to give 5 star ratings. Other than that, the package arrived safely and on time so no problem there. Thanks for reading it so far. 🖖🏾

Excellent VR headset
Awesome experience with the new updated 128 gb version, i am still trying out new games but until now it has been a very good experience. Both my daughters 6 and 3 year old are enjoying it as well. First things first, you do not need a PC to use this VR headset, however if your an advanced gamer then you probably have a gaming pc that might work with PCVR games, others please check the minimum requirement before you buy a PC for PCVR gaming. Again note with this Quest 2 you do not need a PC it works standalone and you only need a good internet connection, you can buy or get free games from Oculus store or Sidequest, tons of video on youtube on how to use sidequest so check it out. Also you can install youtube and Netflix and use it to watch 360 videos and 3d movies. Some complain of blurriness, so note you have to adjust the straps so that you are looking straight into it, everything in your periphery will be blur so adjust everytime you wear it, it should be sticking to your face tightly. If you have glasses then they need to be small as my computer glasses did not fit but i think you will have some problems when using it with glasses. Finally it absolutely fun to play with these, if you get it under 40 k for 128 GB then its a good deal in India , i tried shipping it out from US to India but the order was not completed as they do not ship things with battery so anyways buy it from here in India and it will be delivered the next day.

Worst product , Not sure how Amazon is selling this products
Suddenly it stopped working after using 1 month , I reached to meta they told in India they are not servicing or giving replacement, so for that they asked to reach Amazon , but Amazon claims that after 1 week return period they will not help us . So don’t buy the product and loose your money. Worst and pathetic customer service from Amazon , not sure how they are selling his products which they cannot help customer in assisting replacement.

The best vr headset available in the market in this price range
If youre here that means you’re confused if you should buy it or not. I can help. Some people are complaining about the resolution but i assure you compared to other vr headsets in the market its pretty great. 3d movies are better than theatre, just download the app bigscreen and watch privately or host a party. Reason being in theatres they give you black glasses tjat decreses the brightness of the movie so it looks kinda dark but with oculus no such issue. Just put your sbs 3d movie file in your headset and watch it wherever and whenever. Sound quality feels very immersive for a headset. For browsing internet you can use firefox or metaquest browser, they both have incognito mode and can run videos you want to watch. Gaming experience is amazing, but you need to purchase full version later on from the oculus store or steam(for PCVR) gaming. I tried no man sky, beat sabre, spiderman homecoming vr they were all good. You must underStand that 360 degree videos will have a lower resolution, the reason being the resolution of the video is divided in 4 parts, usually the videos we watch are 90 degree fov but here its 360 so by simple logic it will have 1/4th of your selected resolution. I have wanted to buy a vr headset since they launched oculus rift. So if you can afford HTC vive or other expensive headsets I recommend getting quest 2. It is everything I wanted it to be and then some.

Decent buy
Just received the order yesterday , packing of the product is good . The controller and device is very good in build quality .Vr experience is good , Highly disappointed with head strap , it is difficult to adjust and also disappointed in free games as I find only 10 free games and out of which almost all of them are demo versions and I didn't find any free game at all . We have to pay extra charge to buy games. Another main problem is it's difficult to buy games from india as paypal and cards dont work, The graphics quality is also average . Some videos in explore section are good quality . Spending 30k and I only get a device with very average screen clarity and no free games , Iam disappointed to be frank ,expected lot better features. The strap is the worst thing about this headset , I bought a kiwi strap which costed extra 4k but helped in better comfort and better vision as original strap is the worst quality. Jupiter card helped me in buying games from Oculus store

Still very experimental
Well i expected the product to be a bit more polished. There are alot of basic OS level features missing (very limited customisation options, uninstalled apps stay in the app list, etc) as well as most of the games are also very primitive (except alyx). PC support is fine but u need a long cable to play properly, airlink didn't work as good as it did for some youtubers (i did use a 5ghz band). Virtual desktop worked much better. U need a third party app for alot of good apps and some patching here n there. overall, unless u know wat u r getting urself into i wont recommend getting it, VR isnt that young at this point but this product still feels very experimental. i got it to learn developing experiences for VR as well as to play some games. now i only use it for development and intense beat saber sessions.
